Awww, that's not cool. LOL. That's okay though, I didn't get my first DVD player until... umm... the Christmas of 2003. Yuo could probably pick a cheap one up somewhere for $20 or $30. I remember I wanted a DVD player so bad, I bought a bunch of DVD's and watched them on my computer... my parents gave in then. LOL.

I have the first season of the show and the extras are great! The money is worth just the extras alone! There's this 80 some minutes long thing about the show and how it came to be, and that sort of thing. It's really interesting!

Ditto to all of that! LOL Besides the making-documentary, there's also a trivia challenge, and Emmy clips from '71 that show Ed Asner and Valerie Harper getting Emmy's!

I'm even more excited about the S2 extras, b/c we've waited so long to see them. I really hope this set sells so we can get the whole series on DVD! I can't wait till they get to the Betty White episodes, hehe. Hers are some of my faves!

"Moore on Sunday" was a local news program in Minneapolis. The "Moore" in this case is not Mary Tyler Moore--it's Dave Moore, who is the guy you see in the studio. He was, at that time, the anchorman for WCCO Channel 4, which is the station which carried MTM when it first ran (and, I suppose you could say that he would have been Ted's competition!)

If you haven't gotten a chance to see it yet, this episode features the filming of new material for the fourth season credits, as well as exterior shots of Mary and Rhoda in the city of Minneapolis.

It was great seeing the "Impeach Nixon" banners on Mary's house, as well as Mary learning how to wash a car! Poor Mary...I don't think anyone would bat an eye at someone wearing a football jersey on an airplane today.
