I've noticed in two different photos, that Fred Gwynne has different hair color.

Take a look at the following photo. It is a picture of Fred and his wife Deb in 1988 on the day of their marriage.

Take a look at the next photo. It is a picture of Fred on the set of "My Cousin Vinny" in 1992.

The two photos show that his hair went from white to brown. He must have colored his hair.

On the first photograph his hair has been dyed white/grey - you can see the root growth on his parting and it's coming through dark (brown).
I don't think he would have dyed it for his wedding though!
He must have been in the middle of a film or theatre production for which he had his hair dyed that colour!

The only movie I know of where Fred has gray hair would be in "Pet Semetary". His hair was completely gray/white.

By the way, I noticed you spelled color with a "U". Are you from the UK?

That would figure out about right then because "Pet Semetary" was filmed in 1988 wasn't it and then released in April 1989. So that could be the explaination!

I don't know, I would have colored it back to brown for my own wedding, but I guess that would explain it, "Pet Cemetery" is the answer.

For this movie (and the novel), it was with an "S," although I'm not sure why. I thought maybe the IMDb trivia for the movie would have it, but it doesn't say anything.
