To make a long story short; my sister in law's mother fell and hurt herself badly and it took three calls before an ambulance came to help her.
She was lying on a cold damp sidewalk in really bad pain. It makes me wonder now; if ever it happens to me and/or someone that I know and love, will we be treated the same way? This is very unacceptable and outrageous.

Ah yes, the great old Canadian healthcare system at it's best again.

Unless there was something major going on in the local area where other ambulances had to be dispatched to that took priority, there's no excuse for that! Did 911 give you any reasons on the 2nd and 3rd calls to them?

That's awful! Wouldn't surprise me to hear that happen in the states either though.
