I hated The Real Gilligan Island, because Gilligan's Island is all about working together. The Real Gilligan stinks because it takes that away. I saw all of the first one because I thought Bob Denver or Dawn Wells or Tina Louise or Russell Johnson might be on it. Wednesday, June 8, at 9 p.m the second season premieres. This stinks.

It is deplorable, and I am extremely suprised that Sherwood Schwartz is taking part in it.

same here. one of his son is working on it as well. I wonder what he does on it because with all the specials I have seen him in and in Inside Gilligan's Island he writes about why Gilligan is so good. Every reason he explains is just the oppiste in The Real (dumb) Gilligan's Island

Plus none of the "rushes" (e.g.,musical beds) we know and love from the original 1964-67 GI (I mean the instruemntal stuff,by Gerald Fired, John Williams, Mort Stevens and others) are used...

I mean what would the Lord Admiral Gilligan nightmare (COURT MARTIAL, #85, 1/9/67-Bob Denver's 32nd birthday) be without that brassy swahsbuckling music, or the "Prof. as zombie" outing (VOODOO, #73, 10/10/66), be without the slow, tropical (a la 50s-60s tiki-music king, the late Martin Denny and the late Les Baxter), suspsicion-themed cues as the withc doc (Eddie Little Sky) turns the Professor into a zombie?

thats a good idea to have the gilligan tag music on the Real Gilligan. Gilligan's music is good just like the show. Maybe with that it would not make the Real Gilligan so awful or atleast as awful

I hate it too.I wonder why they called it the REAL Gilligan's Island.Beside the costumes and the contestants named after the castaways.It's nothing like the show :mad:
