Sorry if this was brought up before but...

How long (do you think) between the last episode of Season 3 and the first episode of Season 4 has time passed?

It seems like everyone was used to Frank's leadership other than Hawkeye.

I think also somewhere either in that episode or the new commander episode one of the characters mentioned how long Frank's been in command since Henry's departure.

Since
I think Frank's tenure as commanding officer before Potter took over was probably short-lived, maybe a month or two, give or take a week.

I think B.J. was probably at the 4077th for a week before Col. Potter took over because in the episode "The Bus" B.J. says to Frank "I spent a week with you in Commnad, you lost me when you rigged the toilet seats to rise at attention."

Welcome to Sitcoms Online, BTW. Nice to have another M*A*S*H fan on the boards.

do yourself a favor, and don't even ATTEMPT to follow the timeline in the series. It's just so screwed up in a lot of places. And then, the worst one is the episode "A War For All Seasons" which goes from New Years of 1950 to New Years of 1951, and throws the entire timeline out the window, and just ignores Col. Blake, Trapper, Frank, and Radar.

Not to mention, it had THE LONGEST KOREAN WAR IN HISTORY!!!!
