now that i think about it, the studios only care about how its doing compared to other tv shows. i dont think they really compare say, "The Bob Newhart Show-Season One" to "Phantom of the Opera" but there are the 2 different stats.

Makes me want to run out and buy more copies. But, aren't there TV DVDs (as well as movie DVDs) being released almost everyday? There is so much competition out there. It sold really well on it's release date. I really hope it hangs in there, because I want the entire series on DVD. *crossing fingers*

BTW, I'm absolutely loving my Season 1 DVD. It is so funny! :D I have 8 episodes left to watch. When I reach the end, I know I'll be watching the eps. all over again. :) Hoping we hear about a release date for Season 2, soon. Hopefully, we won't have to wait a full year.

but seriously the rank is falling severely. but a dvd only stays hot for so long then just like a leaky faucet, it stops leaking and no more or hardly anymore of those dvds are sold. it was at #2 in tv dvd for a while. alls that matters to fox as we saw with mtm was the sold set number. they will probably make up their minds whether or not to have a second set by the end of may or so, id say, hey they're giving mtm another shot (my personal fave tied with cheers), so how bad can bobs odds be anyway?

I hope they don't compare it to regular DVD, either. BTW, new DVD's appear to be released on Tuesdays, not every day. In the last month alone, over a dozen shows' DVDs were released. So if it's #7, and that's compared to all released TV DVD's, that's NOT bad.

I too would hate to see it compared to the sales of the movie "The Phantom of the Opera" (which is being released THIS Tuesday). Just NOT the same!!!

these are top selling dvds, period. this isn't top sellers for dvds released in a certain week.


well bobs on the decline now, i think most releases sales are done in the fast few weeks so i think ill stop posting the stats now.
