Here's the place to post your ideas for a reunion show. I hope we can keep it going. Here's my idea:
First, the Set-Up...
Jesse is now an extremely successful recording artist with Fat Fish Records. He, Becky, Nicky and Alex now live in Los Angeles. Becky works as a journalist for an "Access Hollywood" type TV show.
Joey also moved to Los Angeles and now makes comedy albums under Fat Fish Records. He continues to do stand-up around the country. He's also had several failed TV show pilots.
Michelle is a senior in high school and lives with Danny and Vicki (who are married) in that same house on Gerard St. in San Francisco.
DJ is working in New York as a successful attorney. Steve coaches a private college football team. They share an apartment in New York City. They are engaged.
Stephanie is a music teacher at Michelle's high school. She has her own apartment in the city and is currently single.
Kimmy does, indeed, still live next door. She's a telemarketer working out of her own living room. She is also single.
Comet is, unfortunately, deceased.
Now, the Story...
DJ makes the announcement, she and Steve are finally putting an end to their nearly 10-year engagement. They are finally getting MARRIED and have decided to have the ceremony in San Francisco.
Everyone decides to come back home for the wedding. At first, there's talk of hotels. But Danny thinks it would be "kinda wild" if they all stayed at his house. Just like old times. Of course, everyone thinks it's a great idea and that puts everyone back in the house together.
Some of the different things you can do with this idea:
-Jesse is constantly being bothered on the phone and with fans outside.
-Becky is covering the wedding for her show since Jesse is playing for the ceremony.
-Who's the flower girl?
-Danny wants to lend DJ to Steve, rather than give her away. (jokingly, of course)
-Stephanie perhaps sings with Jesse.
-Joey falls in love with someone in Steve's family.
And there could be an amazing scene at night, with Jesse and Michelle bumping into each other in the kitchen. They could remember their old talks and sit down for one last "munchkin" talk.
This could set things up rather nicely. It would have to be a two-hour movie though. And it would have to set up each character for the first half-hour, before bringing them all back to the house.
Post some more ideas! This is fun!
In Peace,
King Creole
