Don't own property or have your name in a phone book.

I dont have a phone in my name or own property or have my name on any property and i found my name and birthday with the city i live in but no phone number.
But my boyfriend who has a phone in his name and owns the house was not to be found on there.
His sister and brothers were all found too, and they had their parents address and phone number listed and they havent lived there for years.... so how do they get the info? Someone or some company selling info? It cannot be by who owns property or has a phone cause that didnt work for a few people.

Well I dont live in the US so I'm safe.It just looks like a phonebook to me,I'm not even listed in my telephone directory,I've always had a private number,and I like it that way.

The creepy thing though is that my aunt is still alive (her name is there), but my uncle died in 1997 and his name and (former obviously) address and phone number are all still there!

It's got all my relatives listed, including who I live with(my parents), but fortunately, it's my old address(from 3+ years ago).

It's as an invasion of privacy and there appears to be no way to remove your name. they get this stuff from the utilty companies, the phone company will give this out no problem. creditors also sell the info to these sites.

My name and info came upwith two other people with the exact same name as me. It's not like my name is Brian Smith. I have a very rare last name.

That's bad,but there alot of sites out there that are like that

That's a little freaky, it shows my address and phone number under my mom's name. Atleast the phone number they show is our old one.

I tried Paris Hilton and a couple of others. That info had quite a few blanks, but makes you wonder if you worked at it a bit more just how easily it would be to track down a celeb! Really unnerving!

It's not different than going to the public records office at your county's website. I can go to Anderson County's website and pull up everything about you.. how much you payed in taxes, how many times you've been divorced, what property you own... everything.

This is really bad. I found my parents names on there. I also looked up an old friend of mine, who I haven't seen since I was 9. I found her phone number there and everything.

I don't live in America, but my mother is American, and my grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins live there. I looked up my grandparents and lo and behold, there was their address (I didn't see their telephone number, although that might have been there.) They got my grandmother's birthdate wrong, though.

Apologies for the double post, but I just checked again, and it does have my grandparents' telephone number. I typed in the name of one of my uncles, and his address and telephone number came up too. It was kind of freaky, in a way, seeing these addresses of people I knew listed there like that.

Wow, I didn't know they had websites for phone books on the Internet as well now...although, considering the amount of stuff there is on the Net now, I suppose I should have guessed they'd have something like that there.

I guess the reason it's freaky for me, is because I haven't a hope of ever seeing my relatives' addresses in any phone listings where I live in the UK, because they're all across the pond...so it was just weird for me seeing them displayed like that.

This IS freaky... I see former phone numbers and addresses from MANY years ago that are listed.... *worried look*

Wow... I'm shocked. Jacki's mom's stuff is in there and her mom is completely unlisted everywhere. It even has her birthday. Well... no, not really, since her b-day's in May and it says September, but it's got her year...

EDIT+ I was bored and decided to type in celebrity's names, and... some of them appear. Haha, of course me, I chose random idol contestants.

I'm not on there since I still live with my parents but my mom, dad, and brother are! Well, it's really no different than looking up someone at whitepages.com like people have said.
