I wouldn't expect big numbers either, that's why I thought it was shocking. But it's good that they would release a show that isn't at the top of many people's lists. It gives less popular shows hope that they'll be released.

I hope it is true. I would like to see this show myself. I've never seen it before. It looks like Sony might be digging around for some obscure titles!!

I really did like to watch syndicated reruns of this show as a kid (around dinner time, I remember) back in the early '80s.

SOLOMON, you'll have to change it again. I just got word that Sony will be moving the set now to September 13. BUT...good news comes out of this, they will release S2 the SAME day!! So the complete series will be out that day. They have also moved What's Happening S3!! on this date, too. The date also still has Good Times S5. So get money saved for that day!

I notice on the Partridge Family set they have a promo specifically dealing with urban releases (Good Times, Jeffersons, Sanford & Son), so I see why they'd release TMM, WH and GT on the same day.

No because i have certain things of Good Times on VHS that are more appealing than the things released DVD

OK, final update: Season 1 and Season 2 will be out now on August 23, along with Good Times S5 and What's Happening!! S3.

That's My Mama S1 will be 3 discs. S2 will be 2 discs.

Look for further details on June 13, when the titles are announced.

I have to say, I am shocked! One Day at a Time is in limbo and yet this gets a release. Very odd.

I want to see all three of these releases, especially TMM because I have zero memory of it. I'm slowly accepting that One Day At a Time is just gonna mildew on the shelf.

It'll be nice to see That's My Mama since I really haven't seen it on a regular basis since I was maybe 6 or 7 years old, but I really like the child abuse/adoption episodes on Good Times so I have to say I'm looking forward to GT more, but I'm looking forward to all three shows coming out that day.

Only Highlghts of Season 5 is J.J and His Friends. That's My Mama I also think is Slghtly better than season 3 of What's Happening. Not Season 1 and 2 though.

I have a hard time believing that the episodes would be edited!! I'm sure this sitcom must not have had a lot of syndication, especially during the era we are in now where they do chop up the tapes for commercials. I guess we have to take what they give.
