When I go to WalMart and Shaws I could walk around all day just looking at diff. stuff. I always feel the need to buy something though. Ive managed to control it better lately, but I cant help it. If I have cash on me I HAVE to spend it. Thats why I only have my card.. I hate using it for something cheap so I dont buy things as much.

Most of the time I just go to the store and buy what I need. I don't usually browse a whole lot. I usually like to go shopping after my birthday and buy some new clothes, but I don't go overboard on buying a lot of stuff. I just try to buy the necessities. Usually just Head and Shoulders and Noxzema. But, in the summer I'll buy some new jeans and socks and stuff and that's about it. And, whatever amount I have left over I put into my account and save it. I always have to have a plan when I go shopping, too. I usually make a list of what I plan to buy before I go shopping.

I usually purchase my clothing from Ebay because there is a great selection of clothing on line; but I do enjoy shopping! When I am at the mall I usually spend a lot of money on TV-DVDs or CDs that I need like a hole in the head..but oh well

I love to shop...for certain things. I hate shoe shopping. And when it comes to high-end things, like electronics, I like to grab and go. I hate having to stand there and talk to the associates.

But like, put me in a Target or department store, and I'll wander around for hours looking for things on sale. I HATE PAYING RETAIL. It's damn near a sin with me. And I'm a coupon whore.

I used to be a shop-aholic and could spend an entire day roaming the mall a couple of times over. Now - I just race in and out. Get only what I need to with no impulse purchases. Oddly enough, I really don't miss it all that much either! And I'm sure saving money (besides, I still have closets full of stuff I never wear or use)!!

that's me

i hate shoe shopping cause i can never find a style I like or i'll find one and they don't have my size

I refuse to pay retail, I will wait until it goes out of style and buy it on the clearance rack before I do that crap. A shirt, no matter how wonderful, is never worth over 20 bucks to me. 20 bucks is pushing it. I love Walmart.. they have clearence all the time, in my Walmart they even have three aisles devoted to clearanced stuff... I could live there.

and I signed up for a New York & Co. credit card just to get the coupons.. I never use it.

I'm hitting Wal-Mart this afternoon! I love it there too! I get our prescriptions filled there so I have an excuse to wander around for 20 minutes or so and see what damage I can do!!
A couple of prescriptions usually ends up costing me $150 by the time I get through picking up other "deals"!!!
I used to shop the high end stores when I was working, but now, I cringe when I see those prices. That's fine when you're single and living at home, but now there's more important bills to pay!!

I know. I go into a department store and see like, a skirt, for $50. Yesterday I bought a skirt off the clearance rack for $10. And it looks just fine. I just don't see what justifies that skirt being so expensive!

They make such ugly, painful shoes nowadays. After awhile, I get all frustrated and pissed and don't want to shop anymore.

OUTLET STORES. I have tons of Gap jeans, and they all came from an outlet store. Why should I pay $50 for them when I can pay half that?

Now I know there's an exchange rate, but its not THAT huge anymore - say maybe 30% on the dollar. But its very common to see skirts (middle of the road) at $85 here (plus 15% taxes)!! If you want to get something better, you're easily looking at $125 for the skirt, and $375 and up for the jacket. Its just ridiculous! Meanwhile, I'd wear stuff like that to work, and so often it would just get ruined with ink, or caught on something!
Not anymore!

(Although I am treating myself to having the "Martha Stewart Get Out Of Prison Poncho" being crocheted for me for about $80 - $90. But again, that's being handmade).

Yeah...how many good clothes have I ruined versus how many bad ones...it's sad.

And forget buying expensive pantyhose!! I run those things something awful.

Oh yeah - don't even get me started on those!! They're almost worse than regular ones for not wearing well. My husband keeps teasing me about cutting my toenails (but that ain't the problem)!! You'd think they were sharp though the way I can poke a bigtoe thru one in nothing flat!
I've even had "control top" blowouts!!! They were out of control with these little bits of elastic springing out everywhere!!! And yeah, I'm buying the right size!! I was always afraid I'd get into a car accident, be rushed to the trauma center where they'd have to cut my clothes off and all drop from laughing so hard!!

Yah, I'm a shopaholic and I spend money even when I dont have it, I make deals with my parents;) But like today I went to buy shoes for my prom dress, and what do you know I end up buying a skirt and sweater, half the time I just start looking at clothes and then my mom ends up being like "you need this" and I'm like "no i don't, but if you are paying..." But between my new cell phone (i lost my other one ;) ) and dave matthews tickets, I'm broke...actually I have 3 dollars (good thing i'm bbsitting on thursday) but I'm goin to FL with my friends on Sunday and i dont know what I'm going do because even though I can go through money so quickly, I hate using my debit card and taking money out of the bank...but when I see something like AG jeans and I have no money for them, I splurge, I am a very impulsive shopper
