I don't mean to complain or be a big baby or anything, but I'm really depressed! My parents are always pusing me around to do stuff I don't wanna.
I don't wanna go to Sylvan to get caught up on math cause I can do that at school (sylvan doesn't even have a spring break!!)

And I don't wanna be in karate!!!! My parents are making me anyway cause they already signed me up on Wednesday and think it would be silly to pull me out two days later. Plus they want me to get in better shape.
But I don't wanna!!! I can excersie at home.
I wanna take piano lessons instead, but my Mom said I could take both piano AND karate but I don't want my life to be filled with so many activites (Sylvan, karate, AND piano!!). My Dad said piano lessons would be too hard.

I'm so sick and tired of being pushed around!!!!!! :(

I'm sorry I made this post so long, but I just really wanted to talk to someone :(

Don't be sorry, it's understandable.

Just sit down and talk to your parents and try to cooperate with them on different ways you can stay fit other than karate like maybe promising to ride your bike alot or get outside more? And if you really really want to take piano just promise your parents you will stick to it and will practice piano alot because they are probably just concerned about blowing their money on something you won't stick with. As for Sylvan..just give it a chance it'll help you. Trust me nothing is worse than being in school and being far behind in certain subjects.

Thanks, but I don't think it'll work. My parents know I'd just rather sit and laze around the computer instead......in fact, they're thinking about taking the computer out of my room :(

As long as you get some kind of other exersize you shouldnt have to take karate if you dont want to.

And tell your parents that piano isnt hard if you practice it..(I play the piano so i would know)

You should thank your parents for doing their job. Kids your age having a computer in their room is a bad idea UNLESS they make you go out and do stuff such as karate, or whatever.

have you been able to catch up well in math at your regular school alone? otherwise tutoring would be the best thing to do.

if you have a piano or a keyboard, you COULD teach yourself how to play. read a book, look up info online, etc. i figured out how to play myself. i played violin for a few years so that helped cover most of it, as far as learning notes and reading sheet music.

and take advantage of karate. not only will it help keep you in shape, it can come in handy for dealing with people you don't like. :grr:

Thanks everyone.

I just need help to stop being such a computer addict, even though my parents rarely let me on.

All Sylvan is is a place to get tutored, it's not like you're going there permanently. I'd consider it.

Yeah, but it's just an after school thing. And they'd help you better understand math and then you can go in and ace tests and feel really good.
