When I was at the gym today they had one of the tvs on Oprah and in the middle of it they showed a clip of Tracey talking to Oprah and then they flashed "Monday" after that, so I'm assuming she'll be talking about drunk driving then. I was listening to something else at the time, though, so I'm not one hundred percent sure about this. Just a heads up for whoever might be interested.

That should be interesting if she is on. No where have I heard her do a real interview since the accident. All I can think is that somehow her life still was/is out of control for it to happen. And I've always wondered if Robby knew that she was hammered. Sounds like she recovered from the anorexia and got herself an alcohol problem.

Tracey did a pretty good interview with Larry King that I commented on a few posts below this one. The interview was actually very good. I found the transcript on-line somewhere, but I can't remember where. It shouldn't be too hard to find, however. Try typing in CNN or Larry King transcripts or something on your search engine and you should be able to find it.

Yeah, and it was quite interesting. Not the situation I thought at all. It does all fit together. Must have been hell going through that. Let's face it, we've all made stupid decisions before. I know there have been times (not with drinking and driving, but other things) that I've gotten away with and thought, boy that really was risky or stupid.
Glad to hear things aren't out of control afterall.
Yeah, it was interesting. I thought Tracey did an excellent job of explaining how she came to the decision to drive that night without trying to justify it or make excuses.
I liked the part where they explained how much one serving of alcohol really is and the effects each number of drinks has on women, and I wish they would have shown that info for men, too. I've never driven drunk myself because I don't really even like alcohol all that much and only drink very rarely, but watching this really made me think about the times I've let boyfriends drive after they had a few drinks while we were out -- and that's where I've not listened to my own better judgement just like Tracey didn't listen to hers that night.

That's just it - I think we've ALL done that if we're honest with ourselves. I drove once back in my teens where I knew I shouldn't be - the stoplights were "doubled"!! It felt horrible and I've never done it since, but yes, I've definitely ridden with people who I shouldn't have. Just been very lucky.
Hopefully that interview will stop somebody else and make them really think about it next time. I know depending on the time of day, how much I've had to eat, etc., I can literally feel a buzz off of 3 sips of wine. I'm no drinker anymore for sure.
