View Full Version : Wally's Orchid
desilu #1 04-07-2005, 11:09 PM This episode is probably my favorite of the later episodes when it comes to the interaction with Ward and June being that the writers cooled them off since the earlier episodes. I thought it so sweet when June reminded Ward of the Orchid he had given her and he finally seen how important it was for Wally, at least at the time. The intimacy between Ward and June in that particular scene just reminded us of how in love they are and how they were in the earlier episodes. I know this show is focused on the kids and I don't know about any of you but I wish the writers would have given us more of the intimacy between Ward and June in the later years just as they did in the earlier episodes. If they were creative enough they could have came up with some great episodes that were centered on the kids and Ward and June at the same time.
junecleaver 04-08-2005, 12:36 AM yeah, you spoke my mind! i would love to have seen more interaction between them, cause you could already see it between the two real people more than the characters
Michael [hXc] 04-08-2005, 04:27 PM so you think they might actually have liked eachother in real life? maybe.

I don't think so. Hugh Beaumont was married from 1945 to his death in 1982. And Barbra Billingsly was married, like, 3 times.

Yes it's true that they were married to other people but marriage in Hollywood is a different world. Hugh's wife was an actress too so you can imagine the little time they spent together. I'm not saying one way or another but it sure wouldn't suprise me and I was told by a diehard fan that she read that Barbara and he considered each other "best friends" and IMO, your best friend should be your spouse so that to me says they had something more "special" and they did stay in touch quite often until Hugh's death in 1982. And before someone reminds me that Hugh was an ordained minister let me just say I know that but he was minister turned actor who was only human and I'm sure no one can deny that Hugh and Barbara's chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS!!! :D

Hugh Beaumont would drive the chastest nun wild with desire. I feel myself melting when I catch a glimpse of his chest hairs through the unbuttoned collars of his shirts. Oooo, baby! I'm yours! ;)

You are too funny but here I must say you speak the truth! I'll never forget when I first started watching this show, I thought Holy****! I never knew Ward was so sexy! And I think it was just the way he was with June that got me so silly with desire for him! Not to mention how great he looks in a suit and some of those polo shirts! :eyes:

I've always though Wally was the brawn of the family.

Wally was cute but, I'm probably alot older than you so the middle aged man appeals to me. ;) I found as I grew older that is how it's been. :D Although I fell in love with my first love Desi Arnaz at the tender age of 4 and I've never changed my mind. :D
Courtnee 04-09-2005, 06:07 PM I've alway thought he was hansome, but in my book, Wally takes the cake!!!! :ladiesman
