Hi, I'm Pat, this is my second post here at the SO message boards, though I've been a loyal SO fan for over a year! Lets start a thread about our favorite season two episodes.

So which episodes will you be watching first? Also, feel free to post any of your thoughts about the DVDs, like what extras do you want to see on the second set? Lets hope Fox gets it right this time!

Personally, my favorite season 2 episode is "Is A Friend In Need?" They're all great episodes, but I like this one because of the scene where Rhoda's sleeping on the couch and Phyliss "wakes her up." Any of you know which one I'm talking about?

Hi, Pat! Great question. I like "Is A Friend in Need?" as well, and in particular the scene you mentioned. I've been thinking about season 2 a lot lately, and the ep that comes to mind is "Where There's Smoke, There's Rhoda." But I've already seen that one unucut, b/c I have a "Best Of" VHS set that has it. So I'd probably watch "Feeb" first, just to see what's been cut on N@N. That's another one of my favorite season 2 shows. I'm so excited about this release, and I can't wait to find out what extras there are (according to tvshowsondvd.com's posting, there are supposed to be extras!).

Yes, the way Phyllis woke Rhoda up by yelling into the hose was great!

There are a lot of good season two episodes so it's difficult for me to pick a favorite. It's probably "Thoroughly Unmilitant Mary". Lou trying to read the news while sober is funny.

I don't really care about extras on the DVD, just the show itself. I probably won't watch the extras more than once or twice.

I hope sales are strong enough so they will want to release season 3.

... I love that one too, Kristen. I've never seen Feeb though, neither have i seen Thoroughly Unmilitant Mary. Can't wait to see them as well as all the other classic groundbreaking episodes from S2.

Thank you for mentioning "Thoroughly Unmilitant Mary"! I had forgotten about that one. Lou reading the news is classic. I recall that no one could hear a word he was saying so they actually lowered a mic down over his head! lol

I haven't watched a lot of season 2 in a really long time, so it'll be great to see the episodes again when the DVD comes out!

you all do know what the greatest of the greatest episodes are! keep it up! what extras would you like to see and would you like to see the extras that were recorded long, long ago? why or why not? i'd love to see those extras, though things recorded in the commentaries/interviews might have changed, plus bloopers.

what i mean by my comment that things recorded in the commentaries/interviews might've changed is for example- MTM has recently lost its record for most emmys of a television series to "Frasier".

Personally, I'd LOVE to see the extras that were done back when they did season 1. I just figure, if they don't put them on season 2, what else can they do with them? But I'd also like to see some commentaries, too. There are a lot of good Rhoda episodes in season 2, so I think it would be great if Valerie could do commentary on those. I don't know how likely that is, but you never know!
