I just watched the episode "The Ties That Bind", number 53, where Jack asks for a raise at Norcom and ends up getting a new title - Regional Product Sales Manager, or something along those lines. That night he had to fly to Pittsburgh, so then I figured ok, he's the REGIONAL manager, so maybe this can help me figure out the long time debate about the setting of the show. but then he has to fly to Denver....on the other side of the country pretty much, so that totally confused me on him being a regional manager. anyways anyone have any input on this?

im sure some people will reply by saying "the point of the show is that they live in anytown, USA, they want you to see it like that" but besides that, what do you think?

Chick6, I never thought of the Arnolds' proximity to Denver or Pittsburgh when I considered this episode. Then again, I never thought much of Jack's title of "regional product sales manager." I thought that since he had to fly, as opposed to drive (or take a taxi) to these cities the 516 house was far away from both of them.

I also remember Jack saying in "Who's Aunt Rose" (where the Arnolds go to a funeral) that he had to fly to Seattle, in the Pacific Northwest.

Then in the episode "Road Trip", where Jack and Kevin go on a suit-buying trip, Jack had taken a trip to Cincinnati, and there was no mention of whether he flew, which leads me to believe that Cincinnati is much closer to the Arnolds than Denver, Pittsburgh, and Seattle.
