I was going to watch "The Price Is Right". At the beginning of the show, you'll hear Rich Fields saying "Here it comes! From the Bob Barker Studio at CBS in Hollywood." and then snapped into a "CBS News Special Report" on the funeral service of Pope John Paul II. What's wrong with that?http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/mad.gif The special news coverage on Pope's funeral was an hour long right before the local news. I was so sad that CBS prempted "The Price Is Right" due to the funeral.http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif I hope that the show will be back on tomorrow.

You're kidding right?

And it wasn't his funeral - just the procession to St. Peter's Basillica.

You're kidding right?

I'm not kidding, "The Price Is Right" was started about 8 seconds ago and then CBS was airing a special coverage at St. Peter's Basillica on Pope procession. I know that it's not a funeral, It's a procession. I hope the episode recovers in the summer reruns.

This IS a historical event that CBS needs to cover if nothing more because all the other networks would have covered it. There's over one billion people that are interested in this event.

I think a game show can wait a day or two if necessary! Don't worry - I'm sure you'll catch it in reruns - they'll just tag it on to the end of the season.

Relax. They'll just air it on a different day. I think it was quite important.

It won't be interrupted for the Pope any this week, unless something unscheduled happens or there is other news. The funeral is at 4am Friday Morning.

The episode will be re-aired. Don't know how they do it but I think the affiliate(s) notify CBS headquarters at Television CityŽ of the pre-emption and allow them to reschedule the show at a later date or at least the network does that.

The episode did air in Los Angeles on Monday (4/4) and one incident was during the "Flip-Flop" pricing game in which a contestant inadvertantly pressed the main button to reveal the actual price of the prize.

Bob gave the contestant the prize anyway!

In New York City, "The Price Is Right" was interupted by a CBS News coverage on Pope's death yesterday where "The Price Is Right" was started at 8 seconds long. In New York City, I'm in the eastern time zone, but in Los Angeles you're in the western time zone.

I disagee with you on this one. It's a religious event and doesn't need to be airred on broadcast networks. I know the Pope was a religious figurehead to millions of people, but the number of people who it didn't affect outweights that number. Regardless of what he did for who, he was a religious leader, not a world leader.

Thank you Captain Obvious. EVERYONE knows that. Will you ever make a post that makes sense? Everything you say is either A. Stupid B. Nonsense or C. Doesn't make sense.

The chances of a potential repeat airing in the summer is good, but and I mean BUT, the episodes mentioned may/will or may/will NOT be rescheduled on CBS television. Just hope and pray these are recheduled. If not, it's just too bad.

A few days ago, I was watching "The Price s Right", before the commercial, a second contestant goes into the showcase before two contestants are going to the showcase round. In spite of all that, CBS News was interrupted by a special report on the new Pope.http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/mad.gif What was all of that stuff coming from the news while "The Price s Right" was interrupted?

... I am a Roman Catholic, so of course I feel this way, but I must make a point. The Pope was a strong leader for the world, I heard on the news that many non-catholics are even mourning the loss of The Pope. Without a Pope, this world wouldn't have any sanity at all. (not as if there is alot of sanity in our world as it is)

 Dum Dum! They should pre-empt The Price is Right for Charo's funeral! You're mad because you couldn't watch those overweight illegal aliens spin that giant wheel meanwhile a giant of the 20th century is being laid to rest!? You win a cookie in my book, my friend!

11am just seems to be a popular slot for news. I'm sure the Conclave looked at the clock, said "The Price is Right is on in most of the country, let's reach our decision and make people mad" That's not the way it works.
