TV Guide description:

Lesley Ann Warren stops by as Susan's mother, Sophie, to prove that while fruit may not fall far from the tree, it sometimes can bruise easily. That's probably because the flaky matrich has left just her longtime beau for getting a little too rough for her. Domestic violence plays for laughs? Only when the alleged abuser is portrayed by seventy-something Emmy winner Bob Newhart, who in a single deadpan sequence, opens poor Susan's eyes to the real aggressor in their relationship and almost ends up with a blackeye while doing so.

Episode guides are a little messed up... Episode 19 is "An Unexpected Song" which appears to be airing April 24th.

Episode 19 is April 24, though, that title is wrong. Here is the info:

"Live Alone & Like It"
Lynette learns that no good deed goes unpunished when she momentarily befriends mean Mrs. McClusky; Susan's mother (guest star Lesley Ann Warren) decides to try and jump start her and her daughter's love lives. Guest star Kathryn Joosten

Hmmmm... thanks Pav. That's the first I've heard of Mrs. McClusky coming back. Lynette's in trouble.

Why do I have a hunch that Susan's mother getting involved will turn ugly?(and not just the fighting with Bob Newhart).

I honestly can't think of anything that will be funnier than that scene.

I'm pretty sure Bree says "Everyone knows they're out of control" ;)

Can't wait for this episode :)

Oh My God!!!

:eek2:

Absolutely crazy... I cannot believe it. So Gabrielle is the one whose pregnant(doesn't know yet), Zach is really Dana, oh and John is back in a BIG way.

So it looks like we'll be seein Gabby on Maury sometime soon? for those paternity test results?

Great episode!

I can't wait to hear more about that toy chest. Why would he chop up a social worker who was trying to take Zach (Dana) away? That sounds very far fetch I think he was lying to Zach about all that.

 At Carlos getting like that with Gabby-- scary.

& Bree looked like she was gonna cry when Lynnette said that to her about Zach.

Also, aren't they going to look into who hit Mama Solis? You think that Carlos would wanna know about that too (though he has alot of other things on his mind obviously!)

No Edie at the poker game in tonight's episode :(

OH MY GOSH that was excellent! I never would have thought Zack was really Dana, and that the woman in the box was a private detective. I bet it's Deirdre the woman Mike is searching for.

Carlos needs a good smackdown for manhandling Gabby like that :schmack: :cuss:

My mouth just dropped when Zach said he was Dana.

Overall it was a great episode. I wish Bob Newhart was on longer though.

I loved the way Lynette told her kids that she was going to take them over to Bree's house and have her deal with them if they didn't behave.

Indeed a great episode! Lots of things revealed officially. Zach is "Dana," Andrew announcing he is gay, Gabby seems is pregnant but with who's baby--Carlos or John, and John & Gabby are back together! The only story that wasn't revealed was Mike's. But who knows, maybe the Zach/Dana thing is very related to Mike.

Bob Newhart rocks, I would love for him to stick around in a recurring role. He and Lesley-Anne Warren were great together :)

That would be great. Bob Newhart doesn't have to say anything to make me laugh. Its all in his facial expressions. . Leslie-Anne Warren was great too. When she told Susan she wanted to move in with her and Susan kicked that lady-that was a riot.

Don't quote me on this, but that might be the second highest ratings for the show ever. First being the 27 million+ (16.1/23) for the episode where Mrs. Huber was killed of.

OK the episode had 25.09 million viewers, that I think is the 4th best total in total viewers, and 3rd in households (episode 9 and 13 were higher).

Great episode, and GA was good as well.... but at the moment I'm still pissed off at ABC for canning BL until the fall.

I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping Lesley Ann Warren will come back once in awhile in the second season as well. Mike was right on when he said that he understood Susan a little bit more when Sophie came to visit. I felt kind of bad for Bree, when Andrew didn't want her to visit. I really don't like that character.
