The news is barely a few weeks old, but there has been a conviction in the trial of Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins (the article at the link above is dated 3/21/05). She was found guilty in the March 2000 kidnapping and murder of Kyle McElroy, and has been sentenced life in prison. She must serve at least 40 years before she becomes eligible for parole. (Three other men are already doing time in prison for their involvement in the crime.)
