I'll be getting All in the Family - Season 4 too.... but I'm looking forward to The Jeffersons - Season 3 much more.

Thus far the sales for Jeffersons S3 is not good. All in the Family S4 is doing much better. Yes, this is only pre-order, but still, very low for a show of this caliber.

I hope the sales improve... I REALLY want more seasons. :(

I plan on buying it on it's first day out. I'm not a big fan of the show, but I want to show my support for all of the seasons coming out.

Yeah, I put off buying the first two seasons, cos I wanted to get the show going. I'll probably buy from 3 onwards.

ps: the same goes for Facts of Life/Dynasty etc I won't be buying them til their 3rd seasons.

A lot of people might not be into pre-ordering. I suppose a lot of people either don't like buying on the net or would rather wait to see who has it the cheapest.

I plan on buying it from a retailer, but being that the Jeffersons I assume is high in demand, I have a feeling a lot of stores will be sold out. I don't get out of work until 5:30pm and and I fear it wil l be sold out. When the 4th season of Good Times came out, I went to Circuit City after work and they were sold out to my surprise. So I went to FYE and bought the last copy they had. If this keeps up, I may start to order online.

I normally don't order DVD online because they are delivered through UPS and I'm not home during the day to sign for it. The only time I order online is when I'm on vacation

I got it today, and I'm loving it.

The Jeffersons S3 is #90.... not quite as good, but it still made the top 100.

Partly true, but then why does Good Times have more releases than the Jeffersons, and it's not in syndication is it? Sometimes shows not in syndication don't sell all that badly :)

One small encouraging sign:
I went to Target on my lunch break just to browse the dvd section, and the Jeffersons season 3 set was sold out. In the display where the copies had been they had rain check tickets. Either they under-ordered or there seems to be some heavy interest in it around here.

I couldn't find it here either at Wal-Mart... I asked and they said they had sold out. :cool: :D

I got the last copy at my local Best Buy & the guy there told me they had put a lot of them on the shelf & they sold them all in the first two days. The Best Buy here always puts out a big quantity of each new release.

Could this sell out have something to do with the Jeffersons 3rd season DVD released being promoted on the David Letterman Show and inside the NY Post? Possibility.

February 24, 2005, Right before a comercial break there was a voiceover saying-"Don't forget to buy the 3rd season of the Jeffersons on DVD"

Got the Jeffersons DVD this morning and i'm surprised to see 10 episodes on One disc. Since the 3rd disc only has 4 eps I would have liked to see some bonus features added on that disc.

They set it up stupidly.
They should have done 8 on each disc, if they weren't going to do special features.

They did 8 on each disc for AITF Season 4, and that came out the same day. (I cant wait till I get up to the episode "Henry's Farewell" on that set)
