Once again I have had my memory jarred suddenly and recall two cases that I saw years ago(in this case in the 90-91 season), and have yet two see a rerun of. What were the dates and places of these two stories...

A young woman's body is found in the back room of her work place(a botique or jewelry store, I can't remember exactly). Her body was found by a security guard who went by the store two hours after it was supposed to be closed and noticed the lights were still on and the front door unlock. Her parent started out with a $5000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer.

A woman, I think her name was Tammy, had a history psychiatric problems including violent and destructive behavior. Later she grew paranoid, and was convinced that someone was out to poison her to the point where she had another person taste some of her food. She was last seen with an unknown man who dropped her off five miles from her home and than drove away. She had no purse and was seen barefoot. I think this case has been solved but I don't know the details.

That case is oft discussed here. It has not been solved, to my knowledge. There is some speculation she might have been the victim of a serial murderer.

Here is a link with the specific info, from a poster who apparently is Tammy Leppert's sister: http://p212.ezboard.com/ftruecrimes12490frm2.showMessage?topicID=121.topic

I believe the first story you're referring to is Tracy Kirkpatrick. She worked at a store and I believe her parents went out looking for her since she hadn't come home yet and it was late. They saw police cars at the store where she worked and discovered she had been murdered. I believe the killer confessed on a call in radio show and had said that he had stopped by the store on occasion and that night they had a fight and he killed her. I remember him saying he wasn't going to the cops because his state had the death penalty. It seems like possibly the same man had also contacted a psychic and talked about the case. It seems pretty likely that he was responsible but I don't think the police ever had enough evidence and as far as I know he wasn't arrested. I also remember Tracy was a poet and had written a haunting one about death and her parents had it inscribed on her tombstone.
