Because if you listen to the words of the song (even tho Henley wrote it in 1982), they really fit the state of the relationship between Michael Jackson and the media.

No. The video orginally had her burning all tabloids with her on it but she had the director edit it out. None of the songs on Now What are about Michael Jackson.

She talked about this song this morning on the Howard Stern show and she said it was not about Michael, but wouldn't say who it was about.
