I remember the bulletin I heard about Selena's murder.I was going home
after school that day of March 31,1995.Here's the one I heard.


Announcer: We interrupt this program to give a special news bulletin.
Tejano music superstar Selena was gunned down today at a Days Inn
Motel in Corpus Christi,Tx. The alleged shooter was Yolanda Saldivar,
Saldivar was confronted by Selena on missing financial records.At the
end of the heated argument Saldivar shoot Selena in the back with a
.35 caliber pistol. Selena was transported to a local hospital and died
today at 1:05 pm. ''This is not an April Fool's joke.'' It did happen.

Unfortunately I didn't know of Selena until after this happened and it wasn't until after her album came out and I heard "I Could Fall In Love" on the radio
