Preston Women

This drama-esque sitcom is about two middle-aged sisters in their mid-30s, who live together in one house with each of their daughters. The sisters are Tina Preston (Lisa Marie Presley) and Carrie Preston (Leah Remini), who both are easily mistaken for each other, despite their two-year age difference. Tina's 10 year old daughter, Erica Preston-Philipps (Liliana Mumy) is from Tina's four-year relationship with her former boyfriend, Mike Philipps (who rarely appears yet occasionally is mentioned). Carrie's 11 year old daughter, Cady Preston-Wanek from Carrie's short-lived marriage to Danny Wanek (who also rarely appears yet occasionally is mentioned) who left her for a young model. Tina and Carrie's famously-widowed* mother now-turned successful businesswoman, Diana Preston (Priscilla Presley) lives nearby her daughters and granddaughters, and often helps out them when and when not needed of help. Diana owns her own perfume company. Tina is a record producer with big dreams and a past of nightmares. Carrie works with and for Mom Diana. Cady is in 5th grade and Erica is in 4th grade. Despite their similarities, Carrie and Tina are somewhat different from each other. Carrie looked/looks up to her strong-willed mother. Tina was a big 'daddy's girl' and still even after his death (23 years later). Tina's past of bad decisions and bad choices were greatly influenced by her father's sudden death. Deep down inside herself, Tina blames herself for her late father's murder.
*{FYI: Diana's deceased hubby's death was nationally famous back in 1982. He was brutally attacked and murdered, after he took a stand and took Tina into an abortion clinic (to get an abortion, of course) just at age 14. Back then, abortions were taboos. Anti-abortionists had plotted and went through with their plan to attack and murder him in their small town in Tennessee.}
