36 hours awake...straight...

damn. no way in hell could I do that. after about 20 hours I'd be eating everything in sight because the more tired I am, the hungrier I get.

Perhaps I won't go with the 36 hour day idea. I talked it over with a friend, and he said that it's really not healthy, and that the half-life of caffeine is 8 hours, and most people can't sleep with any more than 25 mgs of caffeine in their system. A can of soda contains about 50 mgs of caffeine, and I've been guzzling generic mountain dew for the past couple of days. So maybe I should lay off the soda for a while...

Ooo...some use for what I just learned in my pharmacy book...it takes 40 to 56 hours for caffeine to leave your system if the half-life is 8 hours. Wow...that's a lot longer than I though. No wonder I have trouble falling asleep.

Actually I have no problem with falling alseep on caffeine. I've seen myself have 15 cups of strong black tea back to back and still crash without a problem.

But Mountain Dew??? I heard a couple of years ago that it has more caffeine in it than ANYTHING else (except maybe Jolt or Red Bull). Has WAY more than coffee. No wonder you can't sleep!!
