I've noticed that they have shown Sal,
Sophia's decease husband, they've shown
George, Blanche's deceased husband and
they've shown Stan, Dorothy's ex. Why
didn't they ever show Charlie or at
least a picture of Charlie? Just curious!
I dont know why they didnt show Charlie. I guess it leaves alittle mystery to the show. That way you can picture how you think charlie should have looked. To leave on character to ur self thinking.

Yeah! I mean in the episode where they thought Blanche had slept with Charlie, there were even pictures they were looking at of him, but not that you could see.
It's like Maris in Frasier. There's got to be one character that you wonder about.

Yeah, it's on off-screen character that is talked about but is still an enigma. I like those, but I wonder if it was intentional.

I thought that we eventually did meet Vera on the show...
But once I searched the Cheers board, I saw that she only "appeared" in one episode, at thanksgiving, with pie all over her face.
In the words of Gilda Radner.... Nevermind!

I remember that episode! Shelly Long dressed as a pilgrim and then the food fight, with Vera getting hit in the face with a pie to hide her appearance! Classic! :)
