This is how AOL describes it. Apparently, Hollywood doesn't want the public knowing what the real plot is. It sickens me.
Directed by Nora Ephron, Bewitched is an adaptation of ABC's beloved '60s sitcom of the same name. Nicole Kidman plays Samantha, a kind-hearted witch whose spells, despite being performed with the best intentions, have a tendency to cause more than their share of chaos. Complicating matters is her mother's (Shirley MacLaine) abject disdain for Samantha's decision to take on a mere mortal as a husband. It was somewhat of a shock for Darren (Will Ferrell) to find out Samantha's true lineage, and the couple agreed that their marriage would benefit if Samantha abandoned her special powers. Unfortunately for the bewildered Darren, temptation and seemingly otherwise unfixable situations -- oftentimes a direct result of his mother-in-law's meddling -- manifest at an alarming rate, and with a wiggle of her nose, Samantha swoops in with a magical remedy that normally proves worse than the ailment itself. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide
