I just saw the Final Frontier Episode on the Mad about you collection DVDs, and was confused as to whether or not Jamie and Paul actually got a divorce ! That to me seems kind of a depressing ending for a show! Please clarify!

at the end of all the flash ups where Mabel grows up, they are separated, then it cuts back to the real time where they are saying their new vows to eachother since they weren't legally married.
In her vows she says something like "promise me you will always find your way back to me" and there it is THE ANSWER, HE FOUND HIS WAY BACK TO HER.
I had to watch it a few times to see the answer, but it was an amazing ending when I finally figured out the ending.

I haven't seen the last episode, but what I don't get is if they weren't legally married then why in the episode Happy Annivesary did she have a wedding dress and then in the episode called Mad About You where they show when he proposed and they got married and everything they are wearing normal clothes and getting married by a construction worker? That I don't understand because they didn't have Fran, Mark, Lisa and Ira with them either and on Happy Anniversary they were her bridesmaids. So, I don't understand how they are not married legally.

I actually didn't think it was that confusing at all. I guess Paul and Jamie were never legally married, although that was more of a gag than anything, I don't think it was meant to be taken that seriously. But, Paul and Jamie do not get a divorce, they just seperate from each other. In the end, though, they meet up in the movie theater once again, and realize how much they love each other, and they get back together once again. I really love this finale, right up there with what I consider the best series finale ever. I think it ended almost perfectly.

I guess it's not that confusing. It just kind of was for me. Maybe after I see the the last episode, I will understand better.

I forgot you haven't seen it before. If you've read some of the episode guides for it on the internet, then you'll definitely think it's confusing. The plot is kind of confusing, you just have to follow along and pay attention every second of it to get what's going on.
