Sensational Sherri is being brought back to the WWE in a short term role as part of the Shawn Michaels/Kurt Angle feud. Sensational Sherri was the top heel Diva of the WWF during the late 80s and early 90s.
A brief bio:
Sherri Martel debuted in the WWF during the mid 80s in the women's division which featured the likes of Wendi Richter, Rockin Robin, etc., when the women's division was fazed out in 1988, she went on to manage the Macho Man Randy Savage from 1989-1991, the Millon Dollar Man Ted Dibiase from 1991-1992 and Shawn Michaels for the better part of 1992, she parted ways with the WWE in 1993 after turning face and briefly managing Marty Jannetty and Tatanka. She was then one of the first of all the WWF talents that jumped to WCW making her debut in 1994 managing Sting and Ric Flair for a short time and guiding Harlem Heat (Booker T. and Stevie Ray) to the WCW tag titles, she also had a brief love affair with Col. Rob Parker. She left WCW around 1996 and came back briefly in 2000 competing in there Women's Division.
When Shawn Michaels turned Heel and turned on Marty Jannetty in January 1992 he quickly got Sherri to be his manager. She had just left Ted Dibiase after he started teaming with I.R.S. (Mike Rotunda). Sherri stayed with Shawn until October 1992 when Marty Jannetty made his return to the WWF 9 months after being thrown through the Barber shop window. Jannetty attacked Shawn on an edition of WWF Superstars and was going to nail him with the mirror that Shawn use to carry to the ring until Shawn pulled Sherri in front of him causing her to get smashed by the mirror, she then disappeared from WWF TV until early 1993 when she turned on Shawn and went with Marty.
