Does anyone remember the cartoon from the late 60's named Kimba The White Lion?

I have seen pictures of it. It was on for a long time or at least a somewhat long time I belive.

that was an anime by Tazuka , the man who created Astro boy ( or Tetsuan Atom) in Japan.....it was ripped off by Disney and called the Lion king~~!!

This was one of several Japanese produced cartoons of the 60s. The voice of Kimba was Billie Lou Watt.

i use to love the show i watched it ever day when getting ready for school.

KIMBA debuted in 1966 on NBC and later in syndication. As Mikado says it was ripped off for the LION KING and as rightly stated by "howilu", the voice for KIMBA is Billie Lou Watt.

Other voices were Hal Studer,her husband (Ms Watt is not to be confused with Rankin bass's Billie Mae Richards, of RUDOLPH fame (title 'deer.):)

KIMBA was based like other Japanese-to-American cartoons (ASTRO BOY,GIGANTOR),of that time on a extreley popular Japanese comic strip/book...:cool:.
