Chapter 1- Early Awakenings

"RUN!"

Came a yell from above LAPD Lieutenant Michelle 'Shell' Murray's head. "wha... that wiseguy," she realized. She jumped up, her feet already on the floor, she pointed up and ran as quickly as possible not bothering to carve for fear it would slow her down. "DAMN! I don't do parole reviews well because of that jerk Dr Benedict, I never thought I'd hear that velvety baritone voice again." She looked back and saw Frank smiling at her, just as he walked out of the parole room. His nephew, Franklin was paroled and Shell didn't know if she could trust him, her eyes widened as she saw him leave.

Lt Alana O' Rielly, Shell's partner, seated on the warden's desk, heard Frank leave. "Oh my god, think of the kids!"

Warden Warren Layton turned to her pale. "O' Rielly, didn't Lt Murray date that man?"

The color drained from Alana's face. "Shell?" she asked and took off running towards her.

"No, ladies, wait!" Warden Layton got up and ran after her and Shell.

Shell ran up to Alana. "Aren't we going to do something for the city?" she asked.

"Sorry, Shell, maybe you should call International Rescue? They should be able to save a lot of people."

"Great idea, Alana!" Shell said getting her cell phone out and dialing.

"International Rescue." An infuriatingly calm voice picked up.

"Listen, John, the Chameleon's been relaesed from jail and he'll probably kill us all so you had better get help here now!" Shell practically screamed into the phone.

"Whoa! Calm down, Shell, I'll get someone on the way," said John Tracy's voice. "just stay on the line for me uhh..."

John looked up from the book he was reading and as the console blinked and beeped signaling an incoming call, he flipped the mike on and answered "International Rescue." Shell, who was on the other end, started in on him immediately, telling him about Frank's parole. "Whoa! Calm down, Shell, I'll get someone on the way." he replied and told her to stay on the line. John then reached over and hit the switch that would call his father.

Jeff Tracy's watch beeped and he hit the button on it, his middle son's face looked at him. "Go ahead, John." Jeff said.

"Father, Frank's on the loose in Los Angeles, the LAPD need our help." John replied.

"Right." Jeff strode off to his office and put his palm on the scanner the changed it to International Rescue's Command and Control Center. His other sons came running into the office.

"What's the situation, Dad?" Scott asked.

"Franklin Benedict's out of jail!" Jeff replied. "I want you out there ASAP."

"F.A.B." Scott went to his picture on the wall and rode the elevator to Thunderbird One's hangar.

"Virgil, take Gordon and Alan in Thunderbird Two, with pod 1, John, is LAPD Lt Michelle Murray still on the line? We need any information she can give us." Jeff finished as the boys headed for Thunderbird Two's hangar.

"Yes, father, I'll connect her but she's pretty panicked, seems Lt Alana O' Rielly can't trust Frank either." John told his father.

"F.A.B. Thank you, John."

"Right, Father, Thunderbird Five out." John signed off.
