Does anybody know whatever became of Steven Cox? His case was aired in November of 1988. He was the guy from Medford, Oregon who ran SD Cox Investments with his high school buddy Eugene Richmond. He was indicted for fraud in 1984 and fled with his wife Deborah. Well, I remember that he was captured in late 1988 or early 1989 near Las Vegas and was extradicted back to Oregon. But, I don't know what happened to him. This case always intrigued me because he didn't seem like he had criminal intentions. Even people that knew him said he was just trying to be a successful businessman but made some bad investments and was on the verge of bankruptcy, then he panicked and just took the money and ran. But, there was also a theory that there were threats made on his life as well as his wife and children.

I did read a court record of a lawsuit he along with his wife or ex wife and Richmond filed against a bank in California from the early 90s. It stated that most of Cox's signatures were forged, and that he and his family fled Medford possibly because of threats on his life. Does anybody have any information on this case? Did Cox go to prison or was he wrongfully accused? Did he really steal all of that money or was he framed by a crooked banker? If anyone knows anything on this, that would be great!

I always wondered if the baseball cards found in Cox's possession when they arrested him once belonged to Dennis Walker.

That thought has crossed my mind. Would have been one hell of a coincidence.

I've often wondered if they ran in the same circles or at least knew some of the same people. They were both in Medford around the same time. Both men had similar interests with the baseball cards and sports memorabilia. And, they both ran similar scams.

Maybe Dennis Walker's golf meeting was with Cox. I actually highly doubt that but I think about that every time I see either segment.
