I'm really curious if other Gilligan's Island fans run into the same problem that I do. Lots of times when someone finds out that I like the show (even if it's a someone that I have previously had deep and intelligent conversations with) they look at me like I must be an idiot. Then I get to hear a list of reasons why the show is "stupid." Doesn't anybody enjoy broad comedy anymore? :confused: I don't watch to nit-pick about how silly or unrealistic it is---I watch to laugh and to be entertained. :lol:

Please reply and let me know if you have to endure the sideways glances and the knitted brows of the critics. :)

Yeah!,I hear it all the time:Why are you watching this silly show?What's so funny about it?I don't care,it's their opinion.I watch this show because I love it,it's great,it's funny and also,it's a moment where you can sit down in front of the tv and relaxe with the kids.You don't have to worry about violence,vulgar language or sex.People don't know what a good comedy is anymore.But,we do :p

I'm 15 and personally I don't like all the other comedy shows my friends watch. Like My Wife and Kids I like the nice shows without sex! Those other shows are pretty lame to need sex for laughs.

yeah I'm 16 and everyone is always talking about shows like that and crappy reality shows. I don't get how you can not like Gilligan's Island it has something for eveyone and is very funny. I am always quoteing things from the show and people laugh at it then I tell them its from Gilligan and then they don't think its funny.

Of course,alot of shows are inspired by Gilligan's island.When I tell people,they don't beleave me because they feel too embarrassed to laugh at some Gilligan's joke :happyface
