Hi all. I'm new here but have read the many postings about American Dreams. It would be a shame if a show of this quality were to be banished from the airwaves. But we all know the studio execs are the ones that call the shots.

If it's any help, I have a close friend who has worked on the show since it began. Over the years I have been lucky enough to get the inside scoop, as well as some very cool goodies, from the show. According to him, it looks like there may be a chance the show will get picked up for another season. This is what I was told as of yesterday. Of course it's all up in the air right now and he has begun work on another show. But he has vowed to keep me up to date as he hears things. As I hear them I will share them here for all.

Take care!

Well,it sounds like you've got an inside source,so please keep us updated. It would be nice if they keep the show on, but as you've said it is up to the brass at NBC. :)

I'll do my best! Sometimes he's hard to get hold of but he knows how much I like the show so he tries to fill me in. I know if they do stay in production he said he would probably continue on with the show so I'll still have an inside source for news and stuff.

Take care!

when you get a hold of your buddy, can you find out which version of the season finale they plan on airing. i know they have two seperate epsiodes ready to go in the event it really is the series finale.

I spoke with him yesterday. He's working on a new show called The Closer right now. But he does think that Dreams has a good chance of coming back for a fourth season. Or I should say that he said the director thinks there is a chance. As for the final show this season, he didn't mention anything about it. I'll have to ask about that though. He would surely know if there were different finale's.

My personal opinion at this point is that NBC has not said in their ads that the final two shows are the series finale, only the season finale. Usually they would specify the end of the series to at least get viewership of the last show. Therefore they have either decided, or are at least seriously considering, that the show should run at least one more season. But we'll have to wait and see. If I hear anything at all I'll let you all know here.

On a side note, my buddy made mention of the fact that he has show scripts that he will be wanting to sell off at some point. He wasn't sure if there was an interest for those or not so I told him I would see what all of you had to say!

Take care! Until next time.

Would the scripts be autographed?

I'm not sure if the scripts are signed or not. I would say there is a good chance some of them may be. He got my Season One DVD set signed by everyone so I know he wasn't shy about asking. He has given me so much stuff from the show it's crazy. One of my favorite items is a big glass framed show poster which hangs proudly over my desk. Also some shirts, a jacket, ball cap, episodes on tape and an East Catholic backpack and beanie! Cool stuff for sure. Oddly he never gave me a script though.....hmmmm????

He may even have other things too. When I speak to him again I'll see what is is willing to part with. If he knows there are people interested he may just let some of it go.

I'll keep you posted.

Well, it looks like NBC has cancelled Third Watch.

We are finding out about the fate of so many shows, maybe we will find out about AD sooner than we think?
