I saw this today while flipping through a book called "Hollywood Remembers the Classics." Rose Marie contributed a list of her 10 favorite movies. They are:

An Affair to Remember

Camille

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Gone With the Wind

Indiscreet

It's a Wonderful Life

Little Women (didn't specify which version... Hepburn, I would guess)

Marie Antoinette

The Song of Bernadette

The Wizard of Oz

I've seen all but a couple of those. She's got good taste.

I'm not much of a movie buff and have only seen two of Rose's favorites; some of them I've never even heard of!

It seems that most of my favorite movies have a war or military theme. Casablanca, Bridge on the River Kwai and The Great Escape are in my top 10, but so are Casino, Quadrophenia and even a Western, The Shootist. What are some of your favorites and how close are they to Rose Marie's?

Many of those listed are some of my favorites, too, eg., Gone With The Wind and An Affair to Remember. My all time favorites include Fiddler on the Roof, Gettysburg, Camelot and Pirates of the Caribbean. There are some great movies out there!

I'm really big on musicals, so you can guess some of my favorites... The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, West Side Story....

Last night I watched 'The Notebook', man, that was a good movie! I recommend that 100%! I also loved Ladder 49, and Raise Your Voice (Probably because there was music throughout the whole thing!).

I'm SO sorry! That is one of my favorites too! I was singing 'Singin' In The Rain' (confusing) at Applebee's the other day with my Mom. The waiter thought we were some psycho family or something...

Well, if you're interested, then, take a look at my Singin' fiction page. http://www.docemmettbrown.singinintherain.html!

And if you just happen to be a Gene Kelly fanatic (I am, I am!), I also have fiction for Anchors Aweigh at http://www.joebrady.com

If you go there and read, let me know what you think.
