I was just thinking the other night about one of my other all time favorite shows. Three's Company and I was wondering something. As you know, there were two background pictures in the first season that were used in Freddie's one and only movie, The Million Dollar Ripoff. I read in two places that after Freddie's death and just before Three's Company took off, John Ritter went to Freddie's old dressing room to sort of pay his respects to him. Now, John had a way of working things that were important to him into the show he made so famous, case in point the Beatles poster that hung over Jack Tripper's bed and in the pilot episode, Jack says "You have to walk before you can trot...Who said that?" A reference to his famous father, Tex Ritter. So, my point here is that I was wondering if anyone would know for sure if those pictures were indeed his way of paying tribute to Freddie. One picture disappearred after the first season, but the other stayed throughout the run of the show and one other 'link' to Freddie was having JoAnna Kerns, who was also in Freddie's movie, on his show, not once, but twice. Anyone know?

That's very interesting--Three's Company is a favorite of mine, too! I think they started filming Three's Company in 1977; while everyone was still reeling from Freddie's death--all those things that connected it to Freddie could very well be intentional. Could've been on the part of a director or producer, too, since early on in 3's Company, John Ritter might not have had a lot of pull...
