I just wanted to know why all you like Full House. I like it because it reminds me of my childhood and all the great times I had. Kinda like that Guns 'N' Roses song, "Sweet Child O' Mine." Why do you like the show? Do you have a song that does the same for you?

I quite agree. No matter who you are; what age, what sex, whatever, you can find something in the show to relate to.

I could watch this show non-stop all day! This show is very addicting, VERY addicting. I like it just because I grew up watching it and it always makes me laugh. And the funny thing is in my opinion, where shows gradually get worse, this show didn't. I actually like most of the new ones better! And I think it's a darn shame that ABC cancelled it. Every Tuesday I'd watch and now there's nothing on that really interests me on Tuesday. And now look at what Full House helped build, TGIF. It's no more! What's going on here? I wish at least one of the cast members would come back to TV. I actually heard a while back Candace Cameron was supposed to have her own show! Let's hope. Should be interesting. BTW, she looks really good today. Her hair is now a light blonde and she looks to be thinner. Well, I'll shut up now.

The reason why I like Full House alot is because it was one of the best shows on tv. Also I used to watch it when I was young everyday. It was a cute show too.

I grew up watching Full House and now as an adult, I am watching it again with my nephews and nieces. It's a very pleasant and fun show for kids, and also has appeal for adults. When watching the early episodes, I sometimes get nostalgic for my 80s childhood... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif I have always enjoyed the clothes, the cuteness of the children, and of course that funky house they all live in! It's gorgeous.

I loved Full House. It was a funny show and it wasn't as fake as the Brady Bunch. Jesse and Joey were my favorite characters.

Ok, here's the story. I saw the show in 1992 first, and HATED IT! Stay away from this show. I'd rather watch some video with Kathy Bates picking her nose.

I love Full House because it was one of the few feel-good FAMILY (keyword!) shows of the 90's. Everybody could watch it! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi all,
I was drawn to "Full House" at the beginning, quite simply, because it featured an adorable baby. I was drawn, especially in those days, to anything with one or more babies in it ("Three Men & A Baby", "Baby Boom", "Raising Arizona", etc.) It didn't take me long to fall in love with Michelle, and follow her growth on the show -- her first steps, her first words, and so on and so on. Then came the realization for me, after watching the show for many weeks, "Hey, I like these people. These are people I'd like to have for friends, people I'd like to really have in my home each week." I cared what was happening to them.

Then, it dawned on me that every single episode of the show was a lesson in good parenting. And, although I am not now, and have never been, a parent, I appreciated that. I also realized that each episode had a worthwhile message in it for kids. That impressed me, too. I could visualize a family -- say, a 40-year-old father, a 35-year-old mother, a teenage son or daughter and a couple of small children -- all sitting in front of the TV, and each and every one of them enjoying this show for one reason or another. You can't say that about very many TV shows in this day and age.

Hi,
I started watching it because in the late 80s' when I was little (I'm almost 14), my family and I used to watch a lot of ABC/NBC/CBS like a little family-TV viewing... and Full House was one of them. I grew up with Full House about two months younger than Michelle was supposed to be, so it lasted about half my life! Full House forever! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

A previous poster claimed that FH was more real that the Brady Bunch...I won't argue the point, and I haven't seen a lot of Full House Eps, since I hate the show (my wife likes it, and she watches it when it's on at 6 pm on some station), but reading some of the posts (as well as the jump the shark web site), it appears that in one episode, Stephanie drove (or backed) the car into the living room, or something?? Boy, how's THAT for reality? Happened all the time in my neighborhood when I was growing up...

And you think the Brady Bunch is unreal? I rest my case.

Just goes to show ya why there have been so many different kinds of shows on TV over the years...Diffrerent Strokes for Different Folks, as they say :-)

However, even though I dislike this show intensly, I will admit that it could be something that young children could watch with their parents without the parents having to do TOO much explaining about things they'd rather not discuss until their children are a bit older. So, I'll give the show points for that.

I like Full House because it is the probably the most decent nighttime sitcom ever produced. Wholesome family shows are few and far between these days, and it is one of the only sicoms I feel comfortable watching with my 2 yr. old in the same room. They handle every subject in a way that is appropriate for children to watch, yet entertaining and comical enough for us parents as well.

I'm 17 so I kinda grew up with the show. When I was younger, the jokes were funny and the situations weren't cheesy. Don't get me wrong, I sill like the show, but now that I'm older I can't believe I used to love it!

I don't think you people are seeing what tootie and I see. EVERY episode ended the same way: One of the girls does something wrong, Danny comes in and gives them a talk that teaches them a life learned lesson some sappy music plays, they all hug and the problem is solved! Does anyone else see something wrong with this?!?!?!

Macovi
09-14-2001, 01:19 AM
The thing is, that yeah... they had the sappy moments of every episode, but you're mistaken about one thing: It wasn't that one of the girls always did something wrong, sometimes they would just be in a weird situation, or sometimes, it would have nothing to do with the girls. Alot of the situations at hand were Jesse and Becky and there boys. Yeh, the endings were ALWAYS predictable, but ya have to agree, it was entertaining!.... If that's your type of show! ; )

I liked Full House a lot better when i was younger. I don't find it as funny as i did when i saw the originals in the 90s and late 80s. I HATED the early episodes. I think the show got better with age. Steve was a really good character. Becky was awesome! Nicky and Alex were ok. Vicky was ok. This show wasn't great, but it was ok.

Hey!

I just joined Sitcoms Online and it's pretty cool http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I figured this thread was a great thread to first post on http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I like Full House for many reasons. It's adorable, touching and nostolgic to me. I grew up with this show up until I was ten years old. I've grown attached to the characters, songs, quotes, etc. I continue to watch FH on TBS Superstation http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif It's just an amazing show and brings back so many childhood memories and this "cultural phenomenon" of the 90's still continues to live on in my heart (and on TBS http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif).

I was seven when the show started and kind of grew up with it. I didn't really start watching it till I was nine and had to stop as a teen, because we didn't have a t.v. then. I guess I just liked it, because a lot of the show centered around the kids and their lives. It was one of the only shows that we were allowed to watch. It was just funny. Even though I now think that it is sometimes corny, I still like it. I have almost every one of the episodes taped, and the little girl that I babysit loves to watch it. So it really comes in handy. I don't really like the beginning episodes with Jesse and all of his girlfriends. Some of them were really slutty. It was much better when Rebecca came on. She made Jesse's life more wholesome which was a good thing since so many little kids were watching the show. I've been living in Europe for a year and will be staying for a while longer, so when I return it will be like watching a new show.

Technically speaking, MANY sitcoms have predictible endings. If they didn't, they'd be dramadies at the least.

FH was a good, wholesome family show, but it was funny enough to not quite fall into the sap vat.

hi guys, like alot of people i really really really liked this show when i was a kid,now it is a good show,i don,t think it is a great show or am a HUGE FAN of it,but i do really like this show alot,it is a clean wholesome and at the same time a very entertaining show i think, and one of the few shows that you can achully watch with your whole family, this show is really targeted at kids, even though my parents like it to,how much can you say for shows these days, this show is very corny and unrealistic, but why does every have to realistic to be enjoyable,it is fun,the best thing going for this show is that it is fun and family orianted and is ussally full of good and likeable, even if not realistic characters, and it had and most of the actors involved, group of talented people, the only thing i can,t take is the cornball part,it could still be wholesome without the cornball apeal, but apart from that it has a sense of the importence of family and the characters aren,t all sex orintanted like several shows today,i am by no means a prude, but most shows today are almost all or partially about sex, full house was able to establish a clean wholesome, even if corny, but sence caring and light humored fun, allthough it had enough do gooder characters they were unrealistic still likeable and characters that you could have fun with, care about and enjoy watching and at some times it was quit fun,i wish that i would be able to have some of the chances like they had,but underneath it,s cornieness it had a good message reminding us of the unfortumite future of family tv,reminding us of the days of good clean shows that have probably gone for good possibley like, bewitched, gillegens island,i dream of genie ect, allthough it does have a tremendous amount of cornball and several things that are anyoeying,it is still fun, very entertaining i might add ,wholesome, likeable and something that i think you can look back at nicelly, great to remember,a nice nostallgia of tv that is proably gone, definiltly someing it all up GOOD FAMILY SHOW, full house is cool,LONG LIVE FAMILY TV

Not much to add to what Artfiore1 said, I loved the family values, the fact that it would be okay for anyone to watch. The kids are realistic, not picture perfect. Their raised well, they see how others are nice and self-sacrificing and try to copy. But, they are...well, kids. D.J., at the end of "A Pox in our House," comes back to watch Michelle instead of go to her first slumber party, but a few months later, she's so anxious to get a horse that she lies and blatantly disobeys her dad, even bringing the horse home with her.

You see the kids mature, but you know they're not going to be perfect. And yet, there is that unconditional love that is so often missing, but which does exist in famlies like mine.

Go sammyanddiane! This person is COMPLETELY right. I feel sorry for people, that their favorite shows are "That 70's Show", "That 80's Show", "Spin City", etc., and a few of the current sitcoms. Don't get me wrong, a lot of them are pretty funny, and clean *MOST* of the time, but most of them are just so sick, I can't even watch 'em. Gimme "The Andy Griffith Show", or "All in the Family" any day!

Here in S/America we see Full House through TBS. My family & i have always enjoyed watching it. We've seen some of the episodes so many times, we know all the words by heart :)

Every evening at dinner that's our show & when my parents want to see the news, we go...ahh nooo change it back, quick, the commercial is over.

I like Jesse, Danny and Becky the most. They really acted like if they were a real family. Sometimes i wish my family were like them. It really is a great show & i wish i could meet them some day.

I used to be a huge fan of FH but not anymore. I only come here to post crap about Full House and how stupid the show was. Actually, the Brady Bunch is more like a reality than Full House! I mean, who would get two guys to move in after his wife died and help raise his kids? I mean that's just insane. The father was a neat freak of crap, Joey was nutty, but Jesse was the only cool person on FH! I love JOHN STAMOS! At least the Brady Bunch didn't do that! Full House made Brady Bunch look like a bad show! The kids on FH were goodie-goodies just like their stupid father!

i know it s late but i would like to give my opinion too : at the beginning , i was watching full house only to see stephanie. But then , i found that the atmosphere in this show was very nice : there wasn t any violence , any fight , and everything was O.K. the end was only good. That s why i like sitcoms but full house had something more compare to the others sitcoms , i can t say what :that 's the full house effect....

I Love FH because lots of love and family feelings. Al great lessons and messages to the tv-audience. I have not a speciel song for FH Tommy Pages (who also appereed in one episode) songs

"Till The End Of Time" is a good describe for my feelings for the show: When other hearts have come and gone
Our love will still be going on
'Cause I never felt this way about anyone before
Say the world and I will stay
holding on to you forever more
because

Chorus:

I'm, I'm gonna love you
I'm gonna love you till the end of time
No, no one above you
Love you till the end of time
Till the end of time, till stars don't shine
You'll be mine till the end of time

We'll be together, you and I
Just hold my hand and close your eyes
We were meant for one another
We're so much the same
Just exactly like each other, and that's the way
we'll remain
because

chorus

If I could ride in a time machine
to a milion years from now
When I'd land I'd find us there
still together somehow

chorus

I really love the show and gonna love FH forever, Till The End Of Time. So if I should choice a song, it would be "Till The End Of Time" and if I must take a FH song (from a episode) it would bee "Stephanie" by Tommy Page or "Forever" by John Stamos/Beach Boys [uncle Jesse]. My most beloved episode is soo far (seen 170 episodes) "Silence Is Not Golden caouse thats a real heartwarming episode.

ps. Tommy Page became my favorite artist after I seen him in FH (before that, I not even know who he was!) in 2003 (when channel 2 danmark send it!). 10 years after his apperence and the episode Crushed in FH!

Bottom line for me: I just love this show. It's just funny, it's just cute, it has its semi-insults (mostly from and towards Kimmy), it's silly, and it has each character's own little world in this show. And, yes, it's addicting! ;)
