Can somebody help me?

I downloaded this screensaver and I want to use it...Whenever I start installing, it gets like 1/8 way through the installation before I get an error that says this exactly:

Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000.

Then I have to shut down the installation screen. HELP! I'm really frustrated. It's supposed to be a cool screensaver...I tried downloading it early on in 2004 but ran into the same problem then. :(

Rob...?

what type of screensaver is it, and where are you downloading it from?

how old is it, is it intended for XP? the error occurs when you are trying to install it?

I would ask if you have tried to redownload it, just in case the file was corrupted or something, but it seems like you already have...

It's a "The Carol Burnett Show" screensaver, which is here (http://www.tvland.com/awards2005/content/games/game3/Carol_Burnett.exe) (that was the direct download to it), and yes it is supposed to be compatible with XP.

I saw it on the TVL site a year ago (around the time they added TCBS to the lineup), so it's only about a year old. And yes, the error occurs when I try to install it.

I've downloaded it multiple times, to no avail. :(

I got the same results!(I have XP) I think that the saver itself is defective. :(

Bummer! :bash: :livid:

It doesn't hurt to try to fix it tho

I think it's something with DirectX or whatever...I was doing a bit of searching, but didn't find anything that really answered my question.
