What did everyone think of last night's episode?

I didn't like it. First of all, no Arthur! Second, if I remember correctly, Doug and Carrie did not appear in any scenes together. That was weird. I also didn't find Doug's black stereotype dream sequences funny at all. I wondered if people were offended.

All in all, very disappointing episode. :(

I agree it sucked that there was no Arthur. I think Doug's storyline was one of the worst the show has ever had. I was going to write more, but it was so dumb and not even funny, so I can't be bothered. It seemed more like a Kevin James stand-up routine with the dream sequence and all. Eh.

The Carrie thing? Didn't laugh once. Was it supposed to be funny?

I figured that maybe Leah or Kevin's schedule conflicted and they had to tape things at different times. Maybe he was doing something on Hitch or whatever. But them not having any scenes together *really* showed.

Not gonna lie..this episode wasn't the best. I think there was 1 scene that Doug and Carrie were in bed together but I think it was inaudible and it only lasted for like a split second.

It really wasn't that funny. Doug's dancing bit while singing to the Jefferson Theme song was the only highlight of the show to me. I did notice that Kevin's real wife {Steffiana DeLa Cruz] was casted as Sue [Leah's ex-nail lady]. It was [I]kinda funny how she told all the nail salons not to do Carrie's nails and she even faxed over a pic to one of them.

Still..overall, wasn't KoQ material. Doug got kinda cocky in the end with the whole wing eating contest. In the beginning,ya feel kinda bad for him but after that I got kinda annoyed...any thoughts?

Oh that's interesting. But even that kinda annoys me - I don't like it when they cast family members for parts when there are proper actors that could do the job better - Danny is another example. Ugh.

And the fax picture, I did think it was funny but dumb that they would have a 8X10 promo picture of *Carrie* to fax around.

I guess I am also disappointed because the quality had really improved over the past few weeks.

You're right..a pic of Carrie would've been more realistic. I guess they just didn't put enough thought into that..or into this episode in general. :(

I'd have to say this along with "Lost Vegas" and "Entertainment Weekly" were the worst eps of this season. I know there'll be better ones for sure. :)

I`m glad other people didn`t like it too. I was going to post how bad it was. I was afraid it would start an argument.

I read there was one episode Kevin was late for, because of his movie. I guess this was it, that`s why it was like 2 separate shows. I was hoping it would be completely without Kevin. I wanted to see what it would have been like.

You can always post your thoughts on an episode. Anyway, I didn't get to watch it yet, and now I'm wondering if I should. I guess I will, though.

I thought it was an OK episode. Nothing too bad or good in it. I actually hadn't realized that Doug and Carrie weren't in it together except for about two seconds in bed together. Funny the things you can miss. But for some reason, I've had the Jeffersons theme in my head all day.

If you have too like me, then you might have an interest it its lyrics...

"THE JEFFERSONS"
Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up,
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

Fish don't fry in the kitchen;
Beans don't burn on the grill.
Took a whole lotta tryin',
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues,
Gettin' our turn at bat.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby,
There ain't nothin wrong with that.

Well we're movin on up,
To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
Movin on up,
To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

Beans don't burn on the grill.

I always thought I had that line wrong, but I guess not. How can you cook beans on a grill? Wouldn't they fall through, into the charcoal?

I think Danny's OK actually. I do miss Richie but it's not like Danny's not funny. I guess they added Kevin's wife ,Steffiana, 'cause Leah's husband, Angelo, was on 2 weeks ago. I personally think it's cute when they do that [if the characters actually interact with their real life spouses.] But again this episode..ehhh

I like Danny, too. Actually, the only part of that episode that made me laugh was Danny and his highlights, and when Spence called him "Barry Manilow."

(But I still miss Richie. :()

I will admit that Danny has grown on me somewhat. I think he can be pretty funny with Spence. But yeah, I do agree also that it can be kinda funny to see real life spouses interact. But what purpose does *Leah* interacting with Kevin's wife have? And how many people are going to realize who she was anyway? They're just wondering who the not too good actress is, lol. It's not like it's Brad and Jen on Friends...

I don't really miss Richie much, have to say. Although I would've liked an explanation as to why he left.

Hopefully the next episode will be better. If KJ was busy I wish they had just canned all the Doug storyline from the episode, had an Arthur/Carrie/Holly story and then Deacon and Spence with the B story. But pointless to speculate .

I thought it was gonna be terrible judging from the promos but I was supprised it turned out to be pretty good. And except for not having Arthur it
was good to see almost the full cast back in an episode. It seemed to bring back some strength. I don't understand the anger toward Danny. He does a good job. And good to see Deacon back too. They need to get the whole group together more.

I didn't think it was that bad at all not one of the best but it wasn't horrible.I noticed no Arthur and I also noticed Doug and Carrie were hardly together.Danny can be funny but kinda immature sometimes.

Richie well he annoys me the way he talks and stuff and honestly I'm kinda glad he's not in the show anymore.Sorry if I offend any Richie fans but its JMO.

Plus Hitch is a good movie if anyone hasn't seen it you should if you want.its been a top movie in my area awhile now and has been out here for a month and a half almost.Last just say it came out February 11th and is still out now.Mel :)

I thought the episode was poor at best. There was no interaction between Carrie and Doug at all. Also no ARTHUR!!

Is Kevin's wife really part Korean. Whatever the case that guy really lucks out. He has a hot tV wife and a even hotter wife in real life.

Good question. They said on the Sony KoQ Boards that she looks Filipino which I began to believe is true. Mainly 'cause a lot of Filipino people have Spanish-sounding last names. Her's is De La Cruz. She is very pretty ,too.

sorry, a bit late to respond lol

That was a disappointing episode, I agree about the fact that there was no interactions between carrie and Doug, no Arthur, it felt like 2 separate shows, and that "black thing" seemed too much, as well as carrie's problems with that manucure problems (reminded me a seinfeld episode about elaine; but the problem was treated with a much better way), that Danny's joke didn't have an end also...
I don't miss Richie character, the "dumb" side was too proheminent (couldn't find a better word, sorry :/ )
one thing I liked : the return of the "tion" (like in revelaTION ) at the end of a word, I don't remember it appearing for a long time :D
