I went to the taping today. It was actually pretty cool, some people called me to ask me if I wanted to be on the VIP list and I agreed to it. Haha. I felt sort of bad because I got to cut in front of everyone there. But anyways I guess you want to know what was the theme, what everyone sang, and the judges' responses? Here you go (this is from the top of my head):

Theme for Tuesday is 60's! (WARNING: I don't know many of the songs because I'm not familiar with music of the 60's. ALSO, I'm not entirely sure if the order of the contestants is correct)

Jessica Sierra singing some uptempo "blues-y" song..at least that's what she said in her introduction video. It was alright for me and the judges didn't seem to like it either.

Anwar Robinson singing "A House Is Not A Home". I thought it was good, but the judges thought it was ok because he didn't "stretch" vocally.

Mikalah Gordon singing "Son of a Preacher Man". I actually thought it was a good choice of song for her and she did alright, but the judges didn't like it very much.

Constantine Maroulis singing some uptempo rock-ish song. I thought it was one of his best and the judges seemed to think the same thing.

Lindsey Cardinale singing "Knock On Wood". I didn't think it was that good and the judges agreed it wasn't her best performance.

Anthony Fedorov singing "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" I thought it was the worst performance by a male tonight. He hit this one really bad note that Simon looked back at the audience during the performance and gave a disgusted face. The note was harsh sounding. In my opinion, he or Lindsey might be the one getting the boot on Wednesday. Judges all agreed it wasn't his best.

Nadia Turner singing "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me". In my opinion, THE BEST OF THE NIGHT. Simon said something like "In a competition of hamburgers, you are a steak"

Bo Bice singing "Spinning Wheel". In my opinion, the best male performance of the night. He stood up on the table behind the judges chairs and rocked it out. This guy is very consistent and thats exactly what Randy said.

Vonzell Solomon singing "Anyone Who Had A Heart". I thought it was good but for some notes she doesn't give the note power when it needs it. Simon said something like "You are like blah blah. You haven't done bad but you haven't done anything great"

Scott Savol singing "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" I thought it was good because he did some runs that were nice and he showed some power this week. Overall, pretty good. Forgot what the judges said.

Carrie Underwood singing some uptempo country song that she said she's sang before in her college (said in the intro video). It wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst of the night. Just nothing exciting.

Nikko Smith singing "I Want You Back". The second best male performance of the night. I thought it was really good and so did Paula and Randy. Simon actually said it was off tune. We shall see when we watch it back on TV.

I hope you guys enjoy the spoiler. The order is not entirely accurate (Mikalah, Anthony, and Lindsey might be off) because I forgot who went when - it just went by so quickly. But the theme and the songs (the one I could name at least are 100% REAL). ENJOY!

Anwar... yeah I agree with Kaitlyn, not a wise choice to sing the song that Tamyra is known for. It's almost like anyone else this season singing "Summertime". I'm excited to hear Mikalah cuz I feel like she'd do well with Son of a Preacher Man. I love that song! Just not when Camile did it last year... I mean she sounded nice but o_O hah anyways...I'm excited to hear Constantine too if the judges said it was good! I'm excited to hear Lindsey cuz I love Knock on Wood, but ehh if the judges said it wasn't good then I dunno. I can't wait to hear Vonzell cuz I LOVE Anyone who had a Heart.. hopefully she sings it as great as Kim Locke. And ahh I can't wait for Nikko either, I can just picture him singing I Want You Back. I loooove the songs he chooses. Yay I'm excited for tonight!

If I were to predict the final two, I would either say Anwar and Carrie, Anwar and Anthony, or Anthony and Carrie. Before, of course, It would be Mario and any of them. I miss him. :crying:

Aww I bet that means Mario wouldve gone last then. Im not positive, but I wouldnt doubt it since thats how the producers usually set up their 'favorites'. Anyways, ugh half these songs have already been done before and Im bored with them.

simon - a very boring, uninspiring son

the only thing i dont like abou the stage... is that it seems like it's not even the Idol stage... if that makes sense. it seems like they're in a totally new show. ... and they're not even doing the top 12 videos :( :(

anwar robinson - i thought he was good. better than the judges thought.

mikalah gordon - i didn't like it much. and im a fan. it was very... average.

they're going through these performances hellah fast. it doesn't even seem like an Idol show.. and the editing is obvious.

constantine maroulis - he was actually impressive.

lindsey cardinale - i love her, but she wasn't fantastic. it was okay though.

anthony fedorov - eeeeh. why are all my favorites not doing great?!?! ERRRGHHHHH. it wasn't good. it wasn't horrible. but it wasn't good. i still like him though, and i know he can do muuuuch better than that.

nadia turner - you dont have to say you love me - amazing. the best so far!!!

overall, a VERY disappointing night. aaah, that was one of the hugest disappointments. i just remember last year's top 12 round... it was so exciting, and interesting... and this was just bleh.

Overall, the best of the night were Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice, Nikko Smith, and Nadia Turner. I'm trying not to be biased, but I actually thought Carrie did amazing, I don't know what's up with Randy and Paula.

To me, a lot of my favorites were disappointing. Actually, Carrie was my only "favorite" that did above average.

However, I'm gonna be a "bad voter" and vote for people even though they didn't do well (Mikalah, Jessica, Anthony, Lindsey... and Carrie of course)

Tonight was great (on American Idol, I mean)!
All of them did nice in a way! My favorites were Anwar, Carrie, Nikko, and Makahla.

I hope either Bo Bice or Jessica leaves tomorrow, even though they're good, they're just my least favorites from tonight.

Ugh...I just dont like Nadia Turner for some reason, I dont know why. Anyway here are my rankings for this week. 90% of them did horrible. But who can blame them? its the first night of the Top 12, they must be nervous as anything.

Jessica Sierra- 5/10- It was defintiley not her best
Anwar Robinson- 7/10- Again, not a great performance IMO
Mikilah Gordon- 7.5/10- Another so-so perfornace. Not great
Constentine Maroulis- 8/10. Not bad. Especially for tonight
Lindsey Cardinale- 7/10- Umm not great...like many others
Anthony Fedorov- 7.5/10. Eeeeek. What happened Anthony? Not one of his best
Nadia Turner- 8/10. I just dont like her and she probably should have scored higher, but i just dont like her. Good performance though
Bo Bice- 7.7/10. It didnt "wow" me, but it was decent compared to some other performances.
Vonzell Solomon- 6/10. Not a great performance. I've discovered i'm not a huge fan of her
Scott Savol- 5/10. Ugggh Scott needs to just GO. I dont like him. His performance was ALRIGHT, but i hope he goes this week
Carrie Underwood- 9/10. In my opinion, it was decent. It wasnt EXCELLENT, but i gave her a 9. If it was another night when the other performances were better, i probably would have given her an 8, but being most of the performances tonight were...uh, crappy- i gave her a slightly higher rating. Overall, I liked her.
Nikko Smith- 9/10. See Carrie

Ugggh...lets hope for better performances next week.

If either Carrie, Anthony, Constentine, or Nikko go this week, there is something very wrong with this show. I hope either Scott or Vonzell go this week.

Tonight was...uh.."interesting".

First off, wow what a crappy way to mention Mario. If Corey Clark got a goodbye video, Mario definitely should have. Ugh

Jessica- Ehhh... it was alright. She's done better.

Anwar- BLAH. I thought he could have at least did close to what Tamyra did with this song and make it amazing, but he didn't even come close at all. It was pretty average to me.

Mikalah- I thought she was good actually. Great song for her.

Constantine- YAY I thought he was great! This is the best vocals I've ever heard from him. Prior to this performance, I thought his best vocal performance was in Hollywood with his group when they did Sugar Pie Honey Bunch.

Lindsey- She was pretty good, I thought. Not her best though.

Anthony- I really didn't think he was THAT bad! I actually liked him. Probably one of my least favorite performances of his.. but it wasn't bad...

Nadia- She was awesome tonight, but I don't really like her that much yet.

Bo- Damn, this guy is growing on me. I actually loved his performance tonight. Like.. a lot. Hmm..

Vonzell- I thought she was really good! I love that song and I thought she sounded great tonight.

Scott- Ugh. Please. just. go. away. I mean... I think it was probably his best performance yet but AAAAAHHH I just want him off.

Carrie- I dunno what Randy and Paula were bitching about... this was actually my favorite performance of Carrie's. I thought she was awesome tonight. Maybe not the best vocally, but hey I thought it was entertaining.

Nikko- OH MAN. I can't believe America let him go at first! Geez...let's bring back Mario, kick Scott off, and there we have a perfect top 12. Nikko was absolutely amazing tonight. I thought he sounded great (wtf Simon?) and I think he's probably the best performer now that Mario's gone. This was actually my favorite performance of the night.

But this episode all in all I felt was really rushed. The judges comments seemed to fly by and I dunno it all just seemed so fast. Last years top 12 ep was so much better.. we got to know the contestants and whatnot and this years was just kinda, well, boring.

I've already voted for Constantine and Vonzell.. and I'm voting for Nikko tonight. As for who else, I really don't know. This just feels so weird cuz usually Constantine gets my highest number of votes and Mario gets my second highest... ugh. :(

Thats EXACTLY the way I feel. The show is different and doesnt have the same meaning when your favorites arent on. Usually when my favorites would get kicked off, Id move on. When JPL left I was rooting for George and Di.. but right now, eh. I dunno, could be because they all did pretty bad.

Lindsey is my favorite of the girls :) I really like her voice :D

Knock on Wood is better suited for a higher voice. Her voice is too deep and rough sounding for that song.

Jessica - She was ok not awesome

Anwar - Not his best
MIkalah - Not her best, wanst horrible

Constantine - He was awesome

Anthony - Not his best he slowed down an awesome faster song

Bo - He was pretty good

Scott - He was AWESOME,but still he needs to go. doesnt have too my energy when singing a fast song he just stands and moves his arms or he just walks asround, come on Scott, if youre gonna do a fast song, get down to it!

Vozell - Pretty good

Carrie - I thoiught she was great

Lindsey- Pretty good

NIkko - Pretty good as well

I noticed that during Carrie's performance she like didn't move around alot. I don't know, I can't explain it really.

I actually really liked Carrie's performance last night. I was losing hope in her, but she redeemed herself... to me, last night.

Also.. I rewatched it. I don't think Lindsey was as bad as everyone has been saying. I do however think that Mikalah wasn't good at all... she didn't even look like Mikalah, and the beginning of the song was just >_<. I still love her. Also... I looked at Jessica's performance, and I actually think it was pretty solid. If she hadn't gone first, I think we would have had a better opinion on it. Still, it was a disappointing night.

And haha... Idol analysis time.
Season 1 - the first eliminated was Ejay Day, the 4th performer, and if you remember, they eliminated 2 that night, and it was Jim Verraros was the 7th performer.

Season 2 - Vanessa was eliminated, and she was the 8th performer.

Season 3 - Leah was eliminated, and she was the 10th performer.

So aside from Ejay Day, the other three that have been eliminated have performed in the latter part of the show. Just an observation.

If this holds true, then Scott and Vonzell should worry, since Bo and Nadia did well.

:eek: But if Leah was the tenth performer last year wouldn't Carrie go this year? :(

Anyway I think either Scott or Vonzell is gonna go this week. Im not sure which one
