Total Eclipse Of The Heart is one of the greatest power ballads of all time. Also gotta love "Maniac", "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)", "King Of Pain", "Modern Love", "Burning Down The House", "She Works Hard For The Money", "All Night Long", "Putting On The Ritz", etc...

Long Distance Dedications:
Hard To Say I'm Sorry-Chicago(#1, September 1982)

Thanks for the survey. That AT40 survey came out a year after WABC ended that survey back in May of 1982. The #1 song was "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. That song was covered by Nikki French in which she had a one hit wonder with that version. "Tell Her About It?" was a great song, "The Safety Dance" was a great song before Weird Al did a parody called "The Brady Bunch" (not to be confused with a TV show), "Making Love Out of Noting at All" was okay, I love all of them. The #7 song "True" by Sandau Ballet was great song before it was sampled into two songs "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss" by PM Dawn and "N Dey Say" by Nelly. As for the Long Distance Dedication, "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" by Chicago was a radio edit in which the song "Get Away" at the end was edited out. A lot of radio stations do edited out because it sounded like it was a rock song.
