I noticed that as well today. It was a real bummer when I didn't hear "This program is about Unsolved Mysteries.....", and instead that annoying "cymbal" sound.

Ugh.

should write LIFETIME or maybe draw up a petition and have us all sign it saying that "nobody wants to see those new episodes anymore" - If I have to see the Steve Page case (as good as it is) or the ridiculous goo rain in washington one more time I'm gonna scream - Ditto for Ryan Stallings with MMA, Gilbert Ortize, Cokehead Wyoming or any variants of the 2001/2002 cases - those cases although I feel for the families of the victims are an abomination as to what UM once was which was dramatic documentary storytelling - once you get to the later eras it becomes like just watching "d-list" actors go through the motions - there is no suspense or drama to it - On the contrary here are some cases that I feel emphasize the best of UM - feel free to add if you wish

Son Of Sam
The Train Deaths
Richard Mintz
Tommy Burkett
Kurt Sova
Chad Maurer
Nyleen Kaye Marshall
Kerry Lynn Nixon
Brooke Baker
Cindy James
Maria Armstrong
Dorothy and Bill Wacker
The Maples & Baskins
David Harry Fisher
Lisa Marie Kimmell
Jeremy Bright
Norman Ladner
Dr. Jeffery Macdonald
"The Omar Arson"
"The case involving a car accident where the woman who inititated the crash walked out into the desert apparently a victim of amnesia"

Later.
