I saw a picture of her recently in Jet magazine at a party for Clive Davis in Beverly Hills, California i believe. She's been fat for awhile. She was very attractive when she was skinny in her Rufus days. Speakin of Rufus, i love their Street Player & Ask Rufus albums. I also love their Do You Love What You Feel song.

Chaka once said in a interview that she hated having big tits! I mean she really hated them! The guy that was interviewing her of course felt differently and told her how nice hers were!

When Chaka Khan was saying, "I Feel For You" she was talking to pancakes, sausages, burgers, subs, steaks and all that stuff. LOL Naw, I'm just joking! I like Chaka, but yeah, she's been big for a few years. When I saw a picture of her in the 70s with Rufus, I was like dang, she was fine back then. She let her self go. My joke should really have been intended for Aretha Franklin.

She had a severe drug problem for just about all of her career, which may explian her balooning weight gain. She's also rather short which makes the weight even more pronounced. A lot of other singers like Me'lisa Morgan, Vesta and some others were clearly influenced by her singing style. I haven't heard any of her music from the last few years so I don't know if she still sings the same way. Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick are all singers whose registers have been ruined by health neglect/abuse.

Well I don't know if she is fat. All I know is that her son was arrested for murdering somebody.

Chaka's in her 50's, she's well past her sex symbol days. As long as she doesn't lose her voice, I'll still be a fan

If she's still smokin she'll lose her voice for sure! Aside from Aretha size her smokin has taking it's toll on her voice and that goes for Dionne Warwick's as well.

Makes me wonder why the same isn't said for male performers (about letting themselves go and weight gain over the years). Chaka is short and it's very very tough for short women to stay thin - especially in post-menapausal years! And with her former lifestyle? Give the lady a bit of a break here folks! In this day and age, she's just lucky to still be alive and well!
Look at Whitney the last few years - not fat, but what a mess!

And after watching the TV Land Awards last week and seeing Stevie Wonder - he's gotten HUGE but nobody comments on it.

And yeah - more than her weight, she should be concerned about quitting smoking. I can't understand singers (especially soloists) that smoke. That's like a world famous painter that purposely breaks their fingers?!?!!

Any wonder why people harp on what the women's look like and not the men? It is the American mindset to objectify women's looks and let men skate by. Stevie Wonder has gotten fat it is true. Truthfully, it is remarkable that Ray Charles stayed slim to the end, given his lifestyle.

The big question about old men is how they get these pretty young women!!! Michael Douglas, Donald Trump for example!!! Is money all there is that???

For some women - yes!! Look at that Anna Nicole and what she hooked up with! With Trump its money AND power. With Michael Douglas it was probably money and the fact that the Douglas clan is considered like Hollywood Royalty so hooking in with them would only help her career. Look at the movies Catherine has been given since marrying him? Much better than before she was with him.
I personally have had the chance in the past to marry a rich older guy, but because I wasn't physically attracted I just couldn't.
I think women are naturally a little more forgiving with flaws too. Society dictates that women are young, thin and beautiful but its not the same for men. Meanwhile, I think a women with a little "treadwear" in her thirties is much more confident and interesting than one in her twenties.
I finally got through 20 years of eating disorders and no confidence and even though I'm the heaviest I've ever been, have some grey hairs (coloured!!) and a few wrinkles, I'm happier than I ever have been in my life! Too bad it took me all those years to discover it.
