um hai for those of ewe who dont remember me im sarah and about a month ago eye fell &couldnt get ^ for a long tym

anyway eye am interested if anyone has ever been in a pageant or knows about them or whatever cuz ive never been in one and eye got invited by some state pageant to enter for miss arizona (it takes place in july)& im interested but eye dont know what they look for in applications lyk do they look for ppl with good grades and community involvement or what cuz eye dont wanna enter something thats kind of a big deal & get rejected n **** thx

i've been invited to several (not cause i'm pretty.. cause i get on some mailing list or something... they send out generic letters a lot of times) anyway, the only time i've been in a pagent was when i was like 4, yea, i was cute then... i don't know what happend

umm sum ppl from that place mailed me an application (addressed to "the _____ family" so they evidently didn't know who i was, and it was unsolicated. :grr: ) but i think ewe can apply online two.

I don't know the first thing about pageants, but I want to post in your thread, so you won't think I'm ignoring it. I tried Google and came up with nothing.

i disagree

they are sometimes very fun for young girls... and can offer great opportunitys, like scholarships, chance to see the world, etc. and they can actually promote high self esteem

however, i do believe they can easily be abused

I have mixed feelings about them...but I'd recommend junior miss if youre looking for scholarship money and dont want it to be a huge deal, all the girls i met there were pretty down to earth.

I know people who have done Junior Miss pageants and won... I would imagine that they look for grades and community stuff...(because the girl who won was not pretty at all...no offense to her.)
