View Full Version : Spend a night in a graveyard or old creepy house
Howdoulikemenow333 03-13-2005, 08:16 PM Would you ever spend a night in a old deseterted house,or a mosuleam, graveyard, just by your self? Like the acatraz in San Fransico bay. I wouldreally like to just spend one night there. I'v seen things moves by thmesheves before, but when Halloween approchies things get very stranges. I also hate small gravyards with half buried holes, broken head stones, we have small graveyeard it's pretty spooky also we have a old abandond milatary base that no body goes there, I have gone there a long time and it's just a strange virbaration when you the only one in the deserted building and you hera some kkind of nosies
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 03-13-2005, 08:18 PM **** no.
Number 9 Dream 03-13-2005, 08:25 PM I'd spend the night in a creepy house, but never alone  :faint: It might be cool to go with a few friends, though :p
My friends and I used to go searching for this haunted house on Long Island all the time. It's about a twenty minute drive, but it's well worth it. We'd turn the radio off, tell creepy stories, and try and find the infamous ghost of Mary that haunts that area. Very cool stuff. Never saw anything, though  Oh well....the trip was fun.
There's also the famous Amityville Horror House, which I'm sure most of you know about. That's located here on Long Island too. Creepy
Fleet 03-13-2005, 08:27 PM All right! Sounds like fun!
I choose both. Maybe I'll see a spirit like these:

Kay Scarpetta 03-13-2005, 10:32 PM I'd LOVE to. I love scaring the **** out of myself!
I really want to take a trip to Lizzie Borden's old house (which is now the Borden Bed & Breakfast). You know, "Lizzie Borden had an ax, gave her father 40 whacks?" It's about an hour away from me. You can sleep in the ACTUAL room that she slaughtered her step-mother in!!! It's booked YEARS in advance. Oh man I gotta do that!
M82A1 03-13-2005, 10:44 PM That sounds coo'. I've always wanted to lurk around a cemetary after midnight.
rusyd 03-13-2005, 10:47 PM I don't like to look for trouble, so no I wouldn't like that at all.
Fleet 03-13-2005, 10:55 PM  Well, I'm a girl and I'm 22....so I guess I'd be safe enough with choice B
You're probably one of only a few who would be safe around that guy.
dawsongirl 03-13-2005, 11:17 PM Yes. Ghosts and vombies and all that **** don't even exist, people.

Wait a minute... what about the ghost of the Brown Lady Raynham Hall? (Photo taken in 1936.)
Fleet 03-14-2005, 01:18 AM Or the Tulip Staircase ghost (photographed in 1966)?
Number 9 Dream 03-14-2005, 01:40 AM  :D Those are cool photos.

Fleet 03-14-2005, 01:49 AM  :D Those are cool photos.
Thanks. Glad you like them. Those are probably the two most well-known ghost photos.
I (finally) captured an unexplained image on my last set of Halloween photos. I did post it here already, but here it is again:
(A ghostly "orb.")
BTW, "Ghoststudy.com" has a lot of photos. Listed by the month.
Number 9 Dream 03-14-2005, 01:58 AM Woah, so cool! I've always wanted to go on a true ghost hunt(complete with cameras and all) but my friends aren't in to that sort of stuff :( I'll have to check that site out, thanks :)

Speaking of ghosts, I like what the psychic Sylvia Browne said in one of her books. It was regarding the Toys R Us ghost in California. Said to be haunted by someone who was a farmhand named Johnny Johnston who bled to death at that site after a farm accident. He thinks he is still alive and Sylvia was trying to tell him that he is dead and if he will just go into the next world he will be at peace. She kept bothering him about it until he said to her, "If you tell me I'm dead one more time I'm not going to talk to you anymore!"
What's with your friends? Are they chicken? :D Ghost hunts aren't that scary (unless one starts chasing you through the cemetery).
Dutabi84 03-14-2005, 04:01 AM Well. I spent 15 years of my life in one creepy-ass house, why not another?
Belair 03-14-2005, 05:38 AM I'd NEVER do it alone, but it might be fun to spend the night in a creepy old house with alot of other people. At least if you're scared sh*tless, you've got someone with you, there's no way I could go alone.
And someone mentioned spending a night in Micheal Jackson's house-that would be awesome! I wouldn't really want him to be there, but I bet hes got a cool house. He's got a rollercoaster in his back yard, and theres no queues! :)
Number 9 Dream 03-14-2005, 11:21 AM  I love Sylvia Browne. My aunt is also really in to paranormal stuff like I am- I think she's been to Sylvia Browne seminars(John Edwards too, but I'm not sure how real he is  )
As for my friends, well...they are lost causes :) My two friends who live here on the island are afraid of ANYTHING horror(won't even go see scary movies with me!) but my BEST friend(who just moved to Ohio :() will do this stuff with me. Too bad she lives so far now....we used to have such fun with this stuff.

Yeah, I find Sylvia's book interesting.
Too bad your best friend moved- I guess you'll have to look for the ghosts by yourself.
CheersChild4life 03-14-2005, 05:50 PM My school is right by a cemetary and we used to have to run around it and people would step on graves. There is a story about a girl there named Sara Candy. The story is she came home and her dad had told her earlier that when she came home he would take her to get ice cream. Anyway she came home and he stabbed her to death.
Anyway no I hate being really scared!

Isn't "orb" just another term for "bug flying past the camera as the flash goes off" ? ;)

damn.. that sounds awesome.
last weekend i went to a little town called tombstone with a lot of haunted buildings. i stayed in one place for a while where 26 men were killed one or two hundred years ago, i didn't hear what happened though. i didn't have any actual encounters but in that haunted hotel i felt a sudden rush of hot air by me, and looked around and saw that there was nothing that could have caused it. what makes that town even more interesting is that everything in it has been preserved to look exactly like it did in the 1800s. i wish i lived closer.

It doesn't look like a bug to me! Maybe it's the ghost of a bug?

So that was your bed sheet! ;) I was wondering where it came from.
You're right; you can't be jumpy around a ghost. They don't like nervous people.
dandelion wine 03-14-2005, 09:54 PM I love being scared too, so I'd go with both.

if it's on the internet, IT MUST BE REAL.:grr:
but yeah, i know it is.

Actually, I scanned the photo from a book on ghosts I have.
But, you're right, that picture is all over the Internet.
Number 9 Dream 03-14-2005, 11:51 PM I believe the pic, Fleet! That looks way too real to be doctored in any way.
Plus, I've seen my fair share of spirits in the past. Animals and humans.

I think it's authentic, too. It has never been proven to be faked. And the original negative shows no foul play.

and if it was released to the public in the 30s it would pretty much be impossible to doctor it and make it look real without paint shop pro or something.
I Love John Ritter 03-15-2005, 01:10 AM I'd never spend the night in a cemetary or an old creepy house. I live fairly close to the Whaley House in San Diego, I only went there once, and I don't plan on going there again!!

Oh great! Wouldn't that suck?! Being followed around by the ghosts of all the mosquitos and flies we've swatted?!

Yeah, true... it is *much* easier these days to make a fake ghost photo. Also, when the original negative is available, that would have to be doctored, too.
Fleet 03-15-2005, 02:49 AM Oh great! Wouldn't that suck?! Being followed around by the ghosts of all the mosquitos and flies we've swatted?!
Yeah, that wouldn't be.... hey, what's that behind you? :D

I love exploring houses that have been deemed haunted as I would love to talk to the spirits inside....
ThisLittlePiggy 04-30-2023, 07:03 PM I've never spent the whole night in a graveyard but a friend and I walked through one very late at night, about midnight, and we walked past a recently dug grave. My friend screamed and said somebody was coming out of it so I got freaked out and ran out of the graveyard. She caught up with me and laughed. It was kind of fun. We were teenagers then.
Yong Fang 04-30-2023, 11:59 PM I would have no issues whatsoever since there are no such things as ghosts or evil spirits. The dead in the ground are just objects, bones, teeth, dust. The only thing that would frighten me is that I know death is coming for me and I am scared of death. Almost to the point of a resentment for my parents having me to face that reality.
What is the definition of a “creepy” house? My issues would be if the house was safe, is it in a safe area, or would I have to worry about vagrants and drug addicts breaking n. There are no “creepy” houses, but there are a lot of “creepy” areas.
