WPIX, here in New York, is airing The Jeffersons today at 4 and 4:30 p.m. after the Mets spring training baseball game. This is good news, and hopefully WPIX will air The Jeffersons after every game this season. Last year they showed The Odd Couple, I believe.

Both The Jeffersons and The Odd Couple air every Saturday nights on the PIX Saturday Night Classics lineup, along with Welcome Back, Kotter and Taxi.

I wish a local down here would do something similar to that...

Or I could just dump my stupid cable and get a satellite and get WPIX that way.

This is good news for a Jeffersons Fan who lives in Philadelphia. A Better Title for this Thread should have been-"for those of you n the NYC area, Remember WPIX is not TV LAND it's a local Channel in NYC so this news is not going to benefit everyone.

This coming Saturday night, WPIX is scheduled to air the Soul Train Awards, so WBK, the Jeffersons and the rest won't be in their usual spot this week.

BTW, the game just ended as I type this. The Jeffersons should be on any minute now.

I was giving a heads up to the people in the NYC area (#1 TV market in the U.S.) and whoever gets WPIX on satellite. What about when you created threads for airings of Three's Company, Get Smart or whatever in the Philly area? Are those silly??? Now, if this was airing in the Philly area, you wouldn't have said anything and would have been ecstatic.

WPIX started the episode around 4:07ish, without the opening credits. But that was OK, as I don't think they cut any more scenes that they were supposed to. They had one quick commercial break in between. The second episode was on the normal timing.

No, as I said in the post above yours, they just cut the opening credits out and had one quick commercial in between and one quick commercial before the closing credits.

That and I have the 1st and 2nd(and soon to be 3rd) seasons uncut... so I can watch them anytime without commericals. :p

I hope 11a-1p is every Sunday. They usually air Family Matters 10-11a on Sundays then a movie from 11a-1p. There is no baseball game on that afternoon though, so no Jeffersons from 4-5p.

I can see them doing that on Sundays, considering that there may be some pre-emptions of the Saturday night lineup once baseball season starts and they cover some of those Saturday evening games. I saw after this past Saturday afternoon's exhibition game they showed the Three Stooges?

The Jeffersons airs in my area on WUAB out of Cleveland, Ohio, it's an Independent Channel like WGN, it's on Saturdays only though :(
