Any advice is greatly appreciated.
My laptop: Every time I log on to the internet, it opens the window, but before the page loads, the screen goes to that blue screen warning. EVERY TIME. You push any button and go back and the window is gone. And around and around. At first I thought it was AVG, because it tries to get updates the first time I log on for the day, so I shut it off. It still happened. I unload Netzero and reinstall it. Same thing still happened. Heck, the solitare doesn't even work. It gives me a warning every time I open it.
Do I need to take it somewhere and get it fixed?
Desktop: Suddenly the address bar won't drop down. It acts like it can't. Anyone know why??

I'm having problems with my computer too. It's so effing slow and sometimes when I go to this site half the page won't load and I have to keep going to my previous window and click this link again to see if SO would load on my computer properly.
How long has this been going on? Computers do weird things sometimes.

An error has occured. Press Enter to return to Windows or press ctrl+alt+del to restart your computer. If you do this, you will lose all unsaved information in all open aplications.

Click Start then go to all programs click accessories then system tools and system restore is right there. If you don't find it it might be in a different place

ME just might be your problem, there.
If all else fails (or even if you get your system working), I'd look into giving an NT-kernel based O/S a try. If your system is old, try Win NT4.0 or Win 2000. Just make sure you have all the latest Service Pack's & NT drivers. :)

Is that the kind of thing I can pay someone to do? Cuz I'm pretty sure I'd screw it up.
