I mentioned this in the thread "Do You Pray" when I said I prayed and my mom went to the hospital.

Well, she's still in the hospital and it turns out she has a blood clot on both of her lungs! That's what was causing her shortness of breath. She went ot the ER Wednesay night to see what was the matter. They did tests and now she's still there- the earliest she can come home is Sunday. Of course they gave her a room and she's on an IV to help get rid of the blood clots. I've been talking to her on the phone a lot and she sounds pretty good. I plan on visiting her tomorrow finally to see how she is. Her room sounds very nice. She has a private room and she says she has a "nice view of the city" since she's on the 9th floor.

I was SO worried the other night because I didn't know what was wrong and I was waiting for her to call me and let me know how she was doing.

Well, the hospital she's at is very nice and it sounds like she is in good hands!

I saw your post in that thread and although I never said anything, I'd like you to know that your mom will be in my prayers as well.

Well... hospitals and worrying... I'm familiar with that. I've had to take my mom to the E.R. several times- sometimes at 2:30 in the morning.

Like you said, your mom is where she should be. They are probably giving her some kind of drug which breaks up blood clots (maybe that's in the IV?).

Let's hope she's out by Sunday! :)

I always worry if my mom or any other people I know that goes in the hospita and you can never find out what is wrong. My mom is going in April for Bladder suergery her bladder was hurting and she's 75 this year. She's a strong lady. I am glad for you and happy for your mom.. Please come Home Soon....

Thanks for all your prayers and concerns. I just talked to her today. She's doing a lot better. She MIGHT come home tomorrow, but they're not sure yet.
