I just noticed watching a rerun that there is still James image on two pictures in the house.

family one in the living room and one with florida in the bedroom.

maybe he was fired and they had to pay him for the fourth season.

seems to me that the way he left the show the producers should not have allowed to have his image appear.

any opinions?

They built the whole two part season opener around the death of his character, so it makes sense that he still be referred to, by both having the characters speak about him and of having pictures of him around. John Amos was gone by then, so the producers probably didn't mind pictures if it meant they didn't have to deal with the man himself.

Those pictures of James(John Amos) stayed around there a LONG time if I remember correctly, well into the 5th or 6th seasons. It was kind of strange to see his image after his character had been "killed", but I guess it did give the show a bit of a realistic edge in that a real family wouldn't suddenly get rid of all pictures of someone just because they died.

just seems to me the actor "john amos' would have had some say on if his image could be shown on camera.

you would think the way he left the show (actor not character) he would have had something to say about it.

maybe he didn't watch the show after his departure.

or maybe they paid him through his contract and were allowed to keep his picture around.

just seemed odd to me.

I guess since they took those photos while he was on GOOD TIMES then they were the property of the show and they could do what they wanted with them. Not sure. It is strange, though considering the way he left. :)

Say if James was still on the show, does anyone know if the painting picture of the family during the opening and closing credits was have still been displayed, or they would have switched anyway to the picture of the people partying?
