Since we all love sitcoms, I thought you'd appreciate this observation I've made previously and was reminded of again last night. The creative force behind both Leave It To Beaver and The Munsters was the team of Bob Mosher and Joseph Connelly, who wrote many of the episodes. This was very obvious, especially last night on TV Land. During the Munsters mini-marathon, an episode aired which showed a boy getting his head stuck between the bars of a wrought iron fence from which Herman saves him. On Leave It To Beaver, later that same night, Beaver got his head stuck between the bars of a wrought iron fence. Mosher and Connelly wrote the teleplays for both episodes! On a similar note, in another Leave It To Beaver episode, the Beav drilled a hole through a wooden board and the drill continued on its way through the garage wall and into the kitchen. In a Mayberry RFD episode, also penned by either Connelly or Mosher, the very same drilling mishap occurred. I wonder if these situations actually happened to either or both of them.
