I like his lyrics on this song cause he talks about blacks trying to be white & blacks that change when they get money. Here's his lyrics that make a lot of sense.

Soon as ya'll get some dough, you wanna put a white b**ch on your elbow. Moving out your neighborhood, when i walk through the ghetto & the flavor's good. Little kids jumpin on me but you, you wanna be white & corny. Living way out, niqqa go home spray painted on your house. Trying to be just like a jew but ask yourself who are they to be equal to. Get the hell out. Stop being a uncle tom you little sellout. House niqqa scum. Give somethin back to the place where you made it from before you end up broke. F**k around & get your ghetto pass revoked. I ain't saying no names. You know who you are, you little punk. Be true to the game.

When you first started rhyming & started out slow but then you started climbing but it wasn't fast enough i guess so you gave your other style a test. You was hardcore hip hop but look at yourself boy, you done flip flopped. Giving our music away to the mainstream. Don't you know they ain't down with the team. They just sent they boss over, put a bug in your ear & now you crossed over. On MTV but they don't care, they'll have a new niqqa next year. Now you out in the cold. No more white fans & no more soul. You might have a heart attack when you find out the black folks don't want you back. You know what's worse. You was just like the niqqa in the first verse. Stop sellin out your race & wipe that stupid ass smile off your face. Niqqas always gotta show they teeth. Now ima be brief, be true to the game.

A message to the oreo cookie. Find a mirror & take a look g. Do you like what you see but your quick to point your finger at me. You wanna be the big fish, you little yuppie. Black man can't be no yuppie. You put on your shirt & tie & your big clothes. You don't associate with the negroes. You wanna be just like Jack but Jack is callin you a niqqa behind your back so back off genius. I don't need you to correct my broken english. You know that's right. You ain't white so stop holding your ass tight LOL. So why you keep trying to pass with your black ass. Mister Big but in reality your shorter than a mig. You only got yourself to blame. Get a grip oreo & be true to the game.

The thing that's interesting about the 2nd verse is that Ice Cube changed his style when The Players Club soundtrack & his solo albums War & Peace volume 1 & War & Peace volume 2 came out. He had some mainstream songs on those albums which disappointed me & which made me stop being a fan of his cause i always thought he would stay hardcore. Remember the corny song You Can Do It that was on Next Friday soundtrack? That's the worst attempt at a radio song he's ever done. He also did a remake of Whodini's I'm A Ho song with Master P on The Players Club soundtrack which was kinda wack. Ice Cube should listen to Be True To The Game song again & look at the wack s**t he's doing now. I heard that his 2nd verse on Be True To The Game was towards MC Hammer cause in the video Ice Cube had DJ Pooh portraying MC Hammer dancing like him LOL. I heard that MC Hammer approached Ice Cube about that & Ice Cube told him he wasn't talkin about him. Let me find out Ice Cube is afraid of MC Hammer LOL.

What happened to Cube man? He was so raw and edgy. Now he is clean and polished. Don't sell out and don't be a yuppie! Cube went Hollywood. I'm proud of what he accomplished, but he sold out.

He definitely went hollywood. He rapped on Public Enemy's Burn Hollywood Burn song & now he's doing the opposite of what he used to rap about. He's a hypocrite.

I also like Ice Cube's Turn Off The Radio song which is on his first solo album Amerikka's Most Wanted. He raps on the song talkin about he can't stand the radio cause they only play songs that are on the billboard charts.

I hated Ice Cube at the time. He was lashing out at white men who dated black women, black men who dated white women, Korean immigrants, Jews, and similar targets. He was inconsistent - he didn't want to correct his broken English, yet was angered by Korean shopkeepers who had trouble with the English language. Death Certificate was so full of anti-white hatred that a reponse rap was issued. I don't know who recorded it, or what it was called, but he told Ice Cube, "The white man ain't the devil/ Listen, I promise / If you don't believe me. . .

TAKE A LOOK AT CLARENCE THOMAS!!!"

Ain't that the truth? :p

Steve M i know what song you're talkin about. Those lyrics were said by KRS One on Boogie Down Productions Poisonous Products song which is on BDP's Sex & Violence album. I love Ice Cube's Death Certificate album cause of the way he was doggin white people & talkin about politics. I wish he still rapped like that. He has a song on that album called Us where he talks about blacks being ignorant. Of course his classic diss song to NWA called No Vaseline is on that album. LOL@Ice Cube saying on No Vaseline, how can you be a niqqa for life crew with a white jew tellin you what to do hahahahahahahahaha. Then he says house niqqa gotta run & hide, yellin Compton but you moved to Riverside LOL. He was talkin about MC Ren. Then he dissed Eazy E saying i heard you both got the same bank account, dumb niqqa what you thinkin about. He was talkin about Eazy E & Jerry Heller had the same bank account. Jerry Heller was the CEO of Ruthless records which is the label NWA was on.

He has a skit on Amerikka's Most Wanted album when he says a message to the oreo cookie. No matter how much you wanna switch, here's what they think about you. Then he plays a scene from Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing movie when John Turturro is saying what he thinks about blacks.

...and I can't understand how living in a ghetto (or slum actually) by any means is cool

You do have a point LOL. I don't see what's cool about living in a bad neighborhood either. You have to remember that Ice Cube was 22 when he came out with that song so he was speakin from the perspective of a young black man. Now that he's older, he sees that living in the ghetto isn't cool. Ice Cube seems to forget now that he's changed, Da Lench Mob & Kam who he used to produce aren't cool with him anymore cause he doesn't rap intelligently anymore. Now he's all about the dollar bill which is evident. One of Kam's boys Threat gave Ice Cube a beatdown in the street a long time ago & took his chain LOL. Kam showed that in his video Whoop Whoop where he disses Ice Cube. He had some dude pretending to be Ice Cube in the video & the dude that was pretending to be him got pulled out of his truck & got a beatdown LOL. J Dee who was in Da Lench Mob said when he gets out of prison, he's gonna give Ice Cube a beatdown LOL. I guess he felt that Ice Cube shorted him & the other 2 group members on some money back in the day. He did a song on his greatest hits cd called Dollar Bill Ya'll & that song is pop as s**t. He even let the Neptunes produce a song for him on his greatest hits cd called In The Late Night Hour. I thought he would never work with them pop producers.

Neptunes are pop? you make it out like as if he was working with the guys who produced Oops I Did It Again, Neptunes are r&b, not pop

The Neptunes are pop producers to me. Their beats are pop & their albums are wack. I can't stand Pharrell Williams.

I don't understand Ice Cube. On Be True To The Game song, he says so back off genius, i don't need you to correct my broken english. So he's saying it's cool to speak ignorant & use slang words. Then on his song Us, he disses blacks saying we act ignorant too much & he sees what the white man is talkin about. He needs to make up his damn mind. Is it cool to him to be smart & educated or is it cool to be ignorant & dumb? That's why Common dissed his ass on The B**ch In You song cause he's a hypocrite.
